Background and History

Ning Fengzhi is the sect master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and the father of Ning Qinghe. Although he has several children, Qinghe is explicitly described as his favorite. When Qinghe awakens only half-level Innate Soul Power and a crippled pagoda base, Ning Fengzhi silences those mocking him with the pressure of a level 79 Soul Saint and assures his son that he will remain loved even if he cannot become a Spirit Master. 2

Rather than dismissing Qinghe's theory of Martial Soul Evolution, Ning Fengzhi carefully reviews it and commits sect resources to testing it. He provides money, personnel, medicinal materials, soul beasts, soul bones, access to the sect's talent pool, and a gold card containing more than six million Gold Soul Coins. 3 He continues this support despite growing opposition from elders and deacons over the Extreme Research Institute's immense costs. 4 5

Ning Fengzhi is usually courteous, approachable, and politically measured. He handles visitors and potential allies with calm diplomacy, balancing cooperation with the interests of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect rather than giving immediate concessions. 27 94

His composure has limits where Ning Qinghe is concerned.
