After Peter neglects his responsibility to pick up Aunt May, Uncle Ben is murdered by a robber Peter had earlier allowed to escape. Peter tracks down the killer with Azu’s assistance, chooses not to kill him, and leaves him for the police. 154 155

During the evacuation preceding Azu’s destruction of New York, Peter develops his Web-Shooters and begins acting as Spider-Man. Martin later targets him as a condition of his own return home; despite Peter’s Spider-Sense and attempts to protect May and Gwen, Martin kills him at the containment camp. 156 157

*No Way Home* Invasion Event

A different Peter Parker is caught in Doctor Strange’s failed Memory Wipe Spell, which draws villains and alternate Spider-Men into his universe. Azu secretly impersonates Peter to emotionally isolate him from MJ and Ned, then plants the Seed of Desire in Peter’s mind. 349 351
