Appearance
Peter is a messy-haired teenage student when unmasked, later operating in several Spider-Man suits across multiversal conflicts. 153 154
- Red-and-blue spider suit with a cowl during his standard hero work. 353
- Black suit during his revenge-driven period, visually reflecting his darker state of mind. 352 365
- Web-patterned mask and Web-Shooters are associated with the Amazing Spider-Man incarnation; the latter are recovered after his death and given to Gwen Stacy. 158
Personality
Peter initially responds to his new powers with confusion, embarrassment, and a desire not to hurt others. Even while accidentally defeating several men on a subway, he repeatedly apologizes to them. 153
Uncle Ben’s death leaves him guilt-ridden but determined to use his abilities responsibly. He captures Ben’s murderer without killing him and delivers the man to the police. 154 155 His instinct to protect others remains central: he evacuates with Aunt May during New York’s crisis, helps civilians, and later returns to crime-fighting because he believes the city still needs him. 156 353 546
The No Way Home incarnation is exceptionally empathetic, refusing to send displaced villains back to deaths in their home universes and instead attempting to cure them. This compassion makes him vulnerable to Azu’s manipulation, compounded by the deaths or apparent deaths of those close to him. 355 359 360 After killing Norman Osborn, he becomes a feared and punitive vigilante before later resuming his role as Spider-Man. 368 369 546

Story Role / Major Arcs
*Amazing Spider-Man* Multiverse Event
Azu witnesses Peter’s spider bite and early, uncontrolled powers on a subway. Peter soon meets Azu, who presents himself as an experienced superpowered individual and demonstrates a harsh philosophy: criminals must be made to suffer to understand moral boundaries. 152 154
After Peter neglects his responsibility to pick up Aunt May, Uncle Ben is murdered by a robber Peter had earlier allowed to escape. Peter tracks down the killer with Azu’s assistance, chooses not to kill him, and leaves him for the police. 154 155
During the evacuation preceding Azu’s destruction of New York, Peter develops his Web-Shooters and begins acting as Spider-Man. Martin later targets him as a condition of his own return home; despite Peter’s Spider-Sense and attempts to protect May and Gwen, Martin kills him at the containment camp. 156 157
*No Way Home* Invasion Event
A different Peter Parker is caught in Doctor Strange’s failed Memory Wipe Spell, which draws villains and alternate Spider-Men into his universe. Azu secretly impersonates Peter to emotionally isolate him from MJ and Ned, then plants the Seed of Desire in Peter’s mind. 349 351
Peter rejects Doctor Strange’s fatalistic solution for the displaced villains, steals the Soul Catcher, and attempts to cure them instead. His compassion is exploited: Norman Osborn attacks May, while manipulated evidence makes Peter believe Ned and MJ have also been killed. 355 359 360
At the Statue of Liberty, the original and Amazing Spider-Men attempt to stop Peter from murdering Osborn. MJ’s survival briefly weakens Peter’s resolve, but Azu detonates the Seed of Desire; Peter kills Osborn with the Goblin’s glider. Doctor Strange then performs a Memory Wipe Spell to end the multiversal event. 365 368
