The two of them fought together: one held back the Anchor Point while the other protected Miduo. They held out for a day and a night before Thor arrived and promptly subdued the Anchor Point Monster.
When Thor had been Third Rank, he'd been powerless against Anchor Point Monsters. Now, as a Tier 4 Wizard, he could seal the Corruption of an Anchor Point Monster and store it in his own space.
Only Flim, who had fought the Anchor Point Monster at close quarters, had seen Thor in action this time.
