Back when Thor was Third Rank, he had wanted to explore the Eye of the Abyss, but the Diary had told him very clearly that he would die.

Until he was pushed to the brink, there was no need for Thor to test how long his Life Line was.

His earlier prophetic dream had also made him realize that claiming even a sliver of hope for survival in the Abyssal apocalypse would be extremely difficult. So he had never rashly considered entering the Eye of the Abyss himself.

Now that Thor was planning to enter the Abyss again, the Diary offered no warning.

That only made him feel that something was wrong.

Could it be that now that he was Tier 4, he could use the Symphony of Fate to resurrect himself, so the Diary no longer warned him of death?

Thor looked at the Diary, resting quietly within his spiritual body, and decided to try entering the Abyss anyway.

After briefly explaining things to Keli, Thor flew once more into the Great Rift in the Chaos Domain.

But what happened was completely beyond his expectations.

Following the same steps as before, he found the Pore buried in the mountainside, the one that allowed passage into the Abyss—only to discover that it had been sealed shut.

The closure was absolute.

It was as if someone had deliberately reinforced the membrane there, making it impossible for Thor to get through.

The membrane was not physical. It blocked Mental Power, too, and even Thor's Thread of Fate couldn't pass through for lack of a sufficient medium.

Thor tested it several times, then searched the surrounding area, but found no other way into the Abyss.

After wasting several days, he returned to the Purification Wizard Tower empty-handed.

He was in a terrible mood.
