Had Gorsa and Floco's calls actually brought Pearl over from the Phantom Color World?
The Wind Demon in the crowd was the most shocked of all. She couldn't help stepping forward, but Beth grabbed her arm. "Let's see what happens first."
It was unclear why Pearl was the one who'd been summoned, but the way she had arrived made it obvious she wasn't an ordinary person.
At this point, Gorsa could only place his hopes in the unfamiliar Pearl before him.
"Tier 5 Wizard Douglas pulled Thor into the Eye of the Abyss, and he still hasn't come out. Is there any way to save Thor without releasing Douglas?"
Pearl tilted her head. "If you can't save Thor without releasing Douglas... would you still save him?"
Gorsa didn't answer. Instead, he asked, "Can you kill Douglas?"
"Why would I kill Douglas?"
"We asked the Death Herald Demon for help, and you came." Gorsa paused, then added, "Well, you're already here."
Pearl smiled and suddenly reached out to take Thor's hand. A few fine threads, shaped just like Thor's Fate Line, extended from her fingertips and connected to his. They quickly wound around his fingers, gradually enveloping his fingertips.
The threads spread from Thor's fingertips, across his palm, and over his entire body. They tightly wrapped up the Diary and Quill in his hand as well, forming an oval Cocoon.
To the others, the transformation happened in the blink of an eye. In just a few breaths, Thor was completely covered in threads like silken fibers.
Gorsa watched the threads Pearl had created, his eyes gradually lighting up.
Across from him, Floco couldn't help shrinking his neck. Watching Gorsa grow increasingly feverish, he could only sigh inwardly. Ignorance is bliss.
