Marine Admiral Kuzan leaped straight up from his seat and landed in the middle of the harbor. Using his Devil Fruit ability, he rapidly froze the surrounding sea.
The surging waves were frozen solid, rising on either side of Marineford like walls.

Izumi exclaimed in shock.
Fugaku and the others were all stunned by what Kuzan had done.
"So this is a Marine Admiral!"
Shisui drew a deep breath.
In his eyes, this was no longer a power that could be described as a Kekkei Genkai.
Boom!
At the same time, Dracule Mihawk launched a probing attack against Whitebeard.
He wanted to see how far he was from the strongest man in the world.
But Diamond Jozu blocked the slash with brute force.
Whitebeard's Pirates were already charging toward the harbor across the ice.
Marine Admiral Kizaru joined the attack, rushing toward Whitebeard.

After hurling the enormous ice ball toward the Marines, Diamond Jozu shouted at them.
Whitebeard Edward looked on with satisfaction.
Seeing his sons perform so well made him happy.
The enormous ice ball took up nearly a fifth of the harbor. If it fell, at least a thousand people would be killed or injured.
"Let's show them a little of what the Uchiha can do!"
Uchiha Tamaharu prepared to act.
If he wanted to protect his clan, giving others a reason to fear them was important.
The battle was being broadcast live across the four seas and the Grand Line.
A small display of strength could bring a considerable boost to their reputation.
The ice ball fell toward the Execution Platform. Akainu sat with one leg crossed, ready to make his move.
The Marines below had been scared witless. There was nowhere they could run to escape the area of impact.

Uchiha Tamaharu gathered Chakra in his throat, then breathed a stream of fire at the ice ball, which was nearly a hundred meters across.
His sudden attack caught several of the nearby Shichibukai by surprise.

None of them were truly willing to give their lives for the World Government.
Anyone who volunteered to work hard would only end up exploited.
"Tch, a flame that tiny? What a joke!"
Gekko Moria watched the fire Tamaharu spat out. It formed a column barely two meters wide.

Meanwhile, reporters watching the broadcast in places like Sabaody were stunned by how outrageous the battle had become.

The Marines organized a counterattack, sending a barrage of cannonballs toward the ice in the bay and the Pirates charging across it.
Smoke filled the battlefield.
The Marines fought desperately, while the Shichibukai stayed put and tacitly watched the show.
Not long after, Oars's descendant, the new Oars, appeared on the battlefield.
He held a long sword. Uchiha Tamaharu looked it over and thought it really did come close to forty meters. A forty-meter sword had actually appeared!
"So this is the cruelty of war."
Fugaku faced it all calmly.
Izumi was the only one who had never been in a war. She fumbled a little when firing the cannons, but the other Uchiha had steady eyes. Rob Lucci and Kaku were both surprised by how composed they were.
Even the two of them, veterans of countless battles, were moved by the scene below.
"The cannonballs are hitting that guy, but they're not doing anything!"
Yashiro aimed the cannon at Oars.
But the cannonballs had no effect on him at all. It was as if he had been pelted with sand.
The battle grew more brutal, and the casualties mounted rapidly.
Oars paid no attention to his enemies as he kept advancing toward the harbor.
Then Bartholomew Kuma struck him with an Ursus Shock that had taken more than ten seconds to charge. Oars nearly lost consciousness and dropped to one knee.
The explosion swept across the front lines, blasting the nearby Marines and Pirates away.
"Is that man really that strong?!"
Itachi exclaimed in shock.
Oars got back up and continued forward. After being struck by a barrage of cannonballs, his body finally couldn't take any more, and he was about to fall.
Before he did, he tried to take out one of the Shichibukai, dragging the spectators into the fight.
Doflamingo sliced off one of Oars's legs. Seeing his corpse damaged, Gekko Moria flew into a rage and used his shadow to pierce Oars's chest.
Uchiha Tamaharu watched without the slightest change in expression.
"Everyone is fighting for the people they want to protect."
"So am I."
Watching the Pirates climb up Oars's body, Uchiha Tamaharu rolled his neck, then faced the fools coming to their deaths without expression.
