History

Qiuyue Valley legacy

Uchiha records referred to an “ultimate weapon” sealed away by the Senju. Haori's investigation connected this secret to the Qiuyue Valley operation, a century-old Senju- and Uzumaki-backed campaign that dealt a severe blow to the clan. The search ultimately uncovered the sealed Uchiha Mumei. 3 28 31 34

Factional collapse

Before Haori's takeover, the clan was divided between Uchiha Fugaku's dove faction and Uchiha Setsuna's hawks. Fugaku's side favored negotiation with Konoha, while Setsuna's supporters advocated forceful reclamation of Uchiha influence and the Hokage position. The dispute over Kakashi retaining Obito's Sharingan and Uchiha Yashiro's disappearance further destabilized the clan. 40 70

Haori initially received a system mission to overthrow Fugaku and become clan head. He used the factional conflict as an opening, planning to remove both the hawks and doves rather than support either side. 1 40

At Naka Shrine, Haori fought Fugaku after revealing his Mangekyō Sharingan. Hikari trapped Fugaku in Tsukuyomi, allowing Haori to kill him; Haori then framed Setsuna and Hisanobu through Shadow Clones. 73 He subsequently summoned the clan elites, subdued dissenters with his Mangekyō Sharingan, and eliminated the old leadership structure. 74

Reformation under Haori

Following the purge, lower-ranking members stabilized and sought Haori as their representative. The clan council recognized him as one of its most important figures. 79

Haori's rule transformed the clan's internal atmosphere. Resources became available to lower-ranking members, clan members were encouraged to see one another as family rather than factional rivals, and the Uchiha increasingly integrated with Konoha. 118 242

The clan took in Haku and Kimimaro after the Kirigakure operation, arranging for them to be adopted into Uchiha families. 103 195 Uchiha Itachi was later expelled after leading Root operatives into the clan compound to assassinate Haori. 150

Later prominence

Sharingan

The Sharingan is the Uchiha's hereditary ocular bloodline and the foundation of the clan's combat reputation. Its insight allows users to perceive subtle traces and analyze opponents or techniques in exceptional detail. 3 31
