I Traveled Through Time to Save You!
Night, late autumn.
Metropolis, Southern Suburbs.
The woods were quiet, a cool autumn breeze rustled through the trees, and insects chirped softly, adding to the stillness of late autumn.
Sudden.
The air swirled and twisted, ripples stirred up the withered yellow leaves of late autumn, and space was torn apart in the forest, a dark hole appeared, from which two figures fell out.
The next moment, it quickly shut down again, and withered leaves fluttered down to earth.
Ba Di struggled to stay upright, feeling nauseous. His retina felt dizzy, as if he were sitting on a bus, and his heart pounded restlessly like a drum.
He braced himself with his hands, flipped over in the air, his strong chest and abdomen breathing heavily, his pupils dilating and then contracting, his blood rushing like the raging torrent, and in the next moment, he controlled it, calming the strange state of his body.
His first time traveling through time, with its intersecting timelines, made him very uncomfortable.
But his strong self-control was enough to keep his body in place. In an instant, he adjusted his body, straightened his spine, and looked around.
"Is this... the place from that day?"
A slight, chilly autumn breeze ruffled Ba Di's cloak, brushing against the fabric of Ba Di hair, the black strands of which disturbed his peace of mind.
The leaves rustled softly, and the insects around the forest fell silent, too frightened to chirp, because of their sudden appearance.
"That's right, we can't go back!"
The Flash fell onto a thick layer of humus and dead leaves, his smile utterly forlorn.
"Without metal prosthetic legs to replace my legs, without sufficient high-speed movement, the frequency cannot penetrate space and time. You can only stay in this space and time, waiting for me ten years from now to send you back."
The Flash's metal prosthetic legs were shattered into molecules by the impact as he approached.
He now lies on the thick layer of humus without legs, his mouth open in a smile, though there is a hint of misery in that smile.
"Don't worry, I still have dozens of metal prosthetics in my storage space!"
Ba Di glanced at The Flash lying on the ground.
The Flash's miserable laughter abruptly stopped, like a crowing rooster being choked, his smile abruptly cut off. He closed his eyes in resentment and pain, falling silent.
"You can rest here for a while."
A fierce glint flashed in Ba Di's eyes, and he exhaled a stream of azure cold air from his lips, as the Flash struggled to look at him.
The Freezing Breath traveled up the Flash's thigh, freezing his abdomen, chest, neck, and finally his struggling head. The thick layer of ice covered him, turning him into a large block of ice, stopping his bodily functions, and freezing him completely.
In the late autumn woods, a chill immediately spread, and the air was deathly still and cold.
He couldn't take the Flash to save Jenny. Any change, any shout, any call would alter the choices made every second. Not a single change could occur.
He turned his head, Penetrating Sight, his vision activated.
His gaze swept through the night wind and through the woods, reaching General Vick's camp.
The camp was brightly lit, making it as bright as day, and was guarded by skilled soldiers with guns.
In a dark corner, where the light shines on the ground, revealing strips of steel gleaming with a metallic sheen, a terrifying monster lurks within the hazy, deep darkness.
A structure nearly ten meters tall stands here.
Jenny's body was tall and ugly, with thick, dark, rough cuticles and white, bony protrusions that constantly oozed black blood. Her terrifying body breathed softly inside, each breath accompanied by excruciating pain in her lungs, throat, and nose, and the air trembled slightly.
Inside the Fine Steel Cage, she lowered her head, her pupils deeply immersed in her thoughts and memories. But her pupils were dry, blood vessels constantly spreading across the whites of her eyes, and her eyelids had a bony texture like sand. Every blink felt like sand scraping against her eyeballs, bringing her excruciating pain.
Upon seeing this, Ba Di gasped for breath, his pupils contracting.
A surge of bitter emotions welled up within me, spreading through every vein and throughout my body.
At this moment, even his Krypton, powerful body, capable of Destruction planets, felt a bitter ache rising from his heart, and his body went limp and powerless.
He could truly feel Jenny's love for him in all of this.
And all the pain Jenny's body endured.
"I'm sorry, I've come!"
Ba Di took a deep breath of the chilly air around him, his eyes opening and closing with unwavering resolve.
I once said that.
Even if I could reverse time, I would still save you from this moment.
I give you hope.
May it bring you joy.
I give you love!
Now, I'm here!
In the darkness, the starry sky is dazzling.
A cold wind blew through the woods.
A trench coat billows in the wind, wild black hair, and those black eyes that seem to travel through time in the darkness of night, saving the past.
Ba Di's body floated up in the darkness, the surrounding air distorted, became invisible, and disappeared into the night.
He moved forward, little by little, towards the world's camp.
In the Southern Suburbs of the Metropolis, the stars shone brightly in the night, and a cold wind howled.
With each step closer, Ba Di felt a sense of trepidation, as if he were approaching home but was filled with apprehension. He was terrified that everything was like a dream, vanishing before his very eyes.
"Um!"
Suddenly, Ba Di's figure, hidden in the darkness, stopped.
Death Knell appeared in Ba Di's line of sight. He walked slowly towards the steel cage, stopped outside it, and looked up at Jenny in the dim darkness.
This scene was one that Ba Di had seen in Death Knell's memories, and there was no difference between them.
Ba Di stopped moving forward and looked at all of this.
"I have a question for you."
"Um..."
Jenny remained silent within the steel cage, for speaking was torture, an agony. She could only let out a deep groan through her nose, the sound vibrating through the air.
It was as if he were facing the breath of a giant dinosaur.
"Do you love Ba Di, or do you wish him dead?"
"Death Knell said, Ba Di saw his gaze, which narrowed coldly."
I saw Jenny's eyes narrow into slits for a moment, her shock at having her secret revealed.
For a moment, the air seemed to ignite, and waves of Heat Wave emanated from Jenny's body, scorching Death Knell's skin.
"Startle..."
She let out a deep, painful growl from her throat.
Now, with every word she speaks, muscles and bones are stretched across her throat, and cells are tearing apart everywhere, tearing her body apart. She doesn't know how long she can endure it or how long she can maintain this state.
The Death Knell did not stop speaking.
"You still love him, so you gave General Vick hope, preventing General Vick from truthfully reporting Ba Di's identity and allowing him to exist in a false world of ambition and lust for power?"
"He thought he could regain his status through you."
"He thought he could regain his power through you."
"He thought he could gain supreme power through you."
"All of this is what he thought."
"All of this was due to your temptation."
"Was it worth doing so much for Ba Miu Luo Di?"
After saying all this, Death Knell turned and left, ignoring Jenny's response.
However, Ba Di saw it.
In the darkness, blood gushed from Jenny's enormous pupils, flowing out in agony as she groaned incoherently from her throat.
"Worth..."
Ba Di walked silently through the darkness, a slight smile appearing on his face.
"I'm sorry, I've traveled through time to save you!"
