Background
Lilith is the First Life born in the Netherworld. At her birth, she witnessed the Supreme God of Death complete the Netherworld's creation; the later simultaneous manifestation of the Supreme Gods was only the second time she had seen the Supreme God of Death. 153
In her early years, Lilith protected Vivian, allowing her younger sister to survive. Their bond endured for countless years, including a long-running healing and purification process in which Vivian's Life power entered Lilith's body. 141 44
Before gaining widespread respect, Lilith was not a Paragon and was looked down upon by ordinary Sovereigns. She killed the previous Darkness Overgod, securing her standing among the four Overgods. 30
Lilith once consumed a Nether Fruit and forcibly used her Innate Divine Ability, leaving her Death Law unable to progress further. Desterie's interference altered this past: the history of her consuming the fruit disappeared, loosening her bottleneck and eventually enabling her Grand Perfection breakthrough. 146 148 147
Appearance
Lilith is a beautiful, red-haired young woman whose usual demeanor combines poise with pride. In battle, her beauty contrasts sharply with the lethal plant-like traits of her true form. 147 143
- Long red hair. 95
- True form: the Manjusaka, a magnificent exotic flower. 143 144
- Can produce thick, barbed vines capable of binding and piercing powerful Highgods. 143
- Possesses a Super Divine Beast body at the level of a Sovereign Artifact. 200
- Uses a crescent-shaped curved blade in combat. 113
Personality
Lilith is fiercely protective of those close to her. She blames herself when Vivian is endangered, yet Vivian considers standing beside Lilith a natural repayment for the protection she received in their youth. 141
She is confident and confrontational when threatened, treating those who hunt her as prey in return. During the Sacred Twenty-Eight Clans' encirclement, she chose to counterattack rather than wait passively for rescue. 142 143
Despite her strength, Lilith is candid about her limits. She admits that she lacks patience for prolonged research into ultimate techniques and initially doubts that she can overcome the lingering consequences of the Nether Fruit. 87 146
Abilities & Skills
Death Law
Lilith's primary Law specializes in soul-based bewitchment, puppetry, and control. Her mastery eventually reaches Grand Perfection. 106 147
- Can control weaker Highgods through the Death Law. 150
- Her control has limits against sufficiently powerful targets when her comprehension is only at four-fold fusion. 149
- Uses Death Law attacks alongside her immense innate physical strength. 143
- Possesses formidable soul defense through her Light of Soul Talent. 143
Super Divine Beast Physique
As the Netherworld's First Life and a Super Divine Beast, Lilith has extraordinary physical power and durability. 141 200
- Her body is comparable to a Sovereign Artifact. 143 200
- Her innate strength can amplify material attacks by roughly a hundredfold. 143
- Her physical constitution is stated to be no weaker than that of the Four Divine Beasts. 213
Water Sovereign Power
Lilith refines a Water Sovereign Spark and possesses a Water-element divine clone. 87
- Gains substantial additional Willpower from the Water clone. 87
- Understands water-element profound mysteries well enough to identify and exploit weak points in water-based defenses, even without using the Water clone directly. 144
Joint Innate Divine Ability
Lilith and Vivian can merge their respective Innate Divine Abilities. Lilith normally leads the attack and bears much of the backlash. 141
- Combines the Manjusaka phantom with Vivian's lotus phantom to create a massive black-and-white portal. 144
- The portal generates suction powerful enough to neutralize Baron's binding ability and pull in several patriarchs and Highgods. 144
- Victims caught by the ability lose consciousness and sink toward the seabed. 144
- Its consumption is extreme; at the time of the Twenty-Eight Clans battle, the sisters could use only one full strike and were left unable to employ even their individual Innate Divine Abilities afterward. 145
- The ability involves a fusion related to time and remains difficult for the sisters to synchronize safely. 141 181
Heart of the Netherworld
The Heart of the Netherworld is a supreme treasure governing the undead, which Lilith blood-binds after its formation. 200
- Increases her soul attack and soul defense by one hundredfold. 200
- Allows her soul offense to match that of a Grand Perfection Great Sovereign. 200
- Can divide into six Heart of the Netherworld Clones usable only by Death Sovereigns. 200
- Clone holders can query the past and location of undead; Lilith can sense their use and grant or revoke their permissions. 200
- Lets Lilith withstand the Four Divine Beasts' combined Innate Divine Ability and then counterattack them directly. 213
Equipment / Items
- Crescent-shaped curved blade — Lilith's weapon during Uthred's attack on Desterie. 113
- Sovereign Summoning Scroll — Used to summon Desterie's energy projection across space. 36
- Nether Fruit — A purple fruit she nearly consumes during the Sacred Twenty-Eight Clans' siege; consuming it would permanently halt further Law cultivation. 145 146
- Heaven and Earth Chains — A massive chained defensive formation established at Nether Mountain. 180
- Heart of the Netherworld — Her blood-bound supreme treasure and source of enhanced soul power. 200
Relationships
- Vivian — Younger sister, closest companion, and partner in their combined Innate Divine Ability. Lilith protected Vivian in their early years; Vivian later supports Lilith's Grand Perfection breakthrough. 141 146 147
- Desterie — Close ally with a long-standing bond to Lilith. She consistently supports him against Uthred, while Desterie saves her during the Twenty-Eight Clans' siege and later entrusts her with the best Death Sovereign Spark. 113 145 159 164
- Nether / Nether Fruit Tree — Longtime companion associated with Nether Mountain. Lilith reunites warmly with her after reaching Grand Perfection. 147
- Uthred — Fellow First Life and recurring political opponent. Lilith condemns his sneak attack on Desterie and considers his conduct disgraceful for a Super Divine Beast. 113
- Death Sovereigns — Subordinates and beneficiaries of Lilith's Heart of the Netherworld Clones. She summons them to Nether Mountain and distributes the clones herself. 200
Story Role / Major Arcs
Sovereign Politics
Lilith stands with Vivian against Orloff during the dispute over Iluka and later leaves Iluka's matter to Desterie. 18 She maintains close contact with Desterie, summons him during the Supreme God Token dispute, and opposes Uthred when he attacks Desterie. 36 113
Sacred Twenty-Eight Clans Hunt
After the exposure of the Netherworld's “First Life,” Lilith becomes the target of the Sacred Twenty-Eight Clans. She and Vivian hide beneath the sea, intending to rely on their combined Innate Divine Ability to fight and escape. 141
Lilith breaks out of the encirclement, binds Clan Head Hankin with her thorned vines, and kills him by piercing his brow and extracting his Godhead. 143 She and Vivian then deploy their joint portal ability against the approaching patriarchs, but its enormous consumption leaves them vulnerable afterward. 144 145
Desterie intervenes before Lilith can consume the Nether Fruit, captures the attackers, and leaves their fate to her. This intervention becomes the catalyst for the alteration of Lilith's past. 145 146
Grand Perfection Breakthrough
As the altered history removes the Nether Fruit from her past, Lilith's Death Law bottleneck loosens. After a century of seclusion, she emerges from Nether Palace as a Grand Perfection of the Death Law. 146 147
Rule of the Netherworld
Lilith becomes more directly involved in establishing order across the Netherworld. Under Desterie's instructions, she creates an exclusive legion, deploys it at key teleportation arrays, and uses Demon Castles to gather intelligence and control powerful Highgods. 192
After binding the Heart of the Netherworld, she shares its limited clone authority with the Death Sovereigns while retaining control over their permissions. 200
