Combined Innate Divine Ability
The four fuse their innate abilities into a circular light that locks onto a target and attacks the soul 15 34.
- The attack killed Angnak, an Intermediate Fate Sovereign, in one blow and later shattered Earth Overlord Arturo’s divine body 17 71.
- It failed against Desterie: the Companion White Jade neutralized the attack after it breached his soul-defending Sovereign artifact 15.
- The group cannot direct it at two targets simultaneously. Leiding’s death ended their ability to use it 7 72.
Individual Strength
- Each beast’s talent makes them comparable to an Intermediate Sovereign in a one-on-one fight, despite their original low-level Sovereign Sparks 7 62.
- In the changed history, their Sovereign bodies reach the level of Sovereign artifacts, while their Light of Soul Talent amplifies defense a hundredfold 213.
History
The Tianji Mountain Range in Hell is the four beasts’ birthplace and the original home of their clan. After gaining low-level Sovereign Sparks, they sought a stronger Spark that could raise an individual member’s combat power. They targeted Water Overlord Polk, reasoning that provoking several Sovereigns at once would be too dangerous 7 8.
Their conflict with Fate Sovereign Angnak exposed the strength they had kept hidden. They killed him with their combined ability, but Desterie seized and refined the Spark Angnak left behind. When the four attacked Desterie, his soul defense rendered the same ability ineffective. The Sovereigns subsequently recognized the Four Divine Beasts as a Sovereign-level group 14 15 16 17.
Leiding later obtained the Supreme God Mirror of Destruction, which described three tokens needed to complete a mission. The four concealed the Mirror from Uthred and had their clan collect rare items, but Desterie intercepted the Termination Bead before they could secure it. Uthred reprimanded them for withholding the discovery 22 26 32 42.
As Desterie backed a campaign against their clan, the four shifted their intended target from Polk to Earth Overlord Arturo. With Palhaus’s help, they trapped and killed Arturo, only for Desterie to seize his Spark. In the ensuing fight, Desterie killed Leiding first, disabling their joint ability, then killed Nemo, Bowen, and Ers. He collected their Sovereign Sparks and essence blood 53 66 70 71 72.
Changed history
A later changed-history account follows the beasts before they acquired Sovereign Sparks. Uthred approached them in the Tianji Mountain Range; after they became Sovereigns, he intervened to save them from Lilith. Their joint ability then countered the combined power of Lilith and Vivian, securing the group a place on the Sovereign Council 211 213.
Relationships
- Four Divine Beasts Clan — Their descendants and the principal beneficiaries of their protection; the clan’s expansion and later persecution are central to the beasts’ conflicts 7 53 62.
- Uthred — Longtime supporter in Hell who defended them, but was angered when they hid the Supreme God Mirror from him 16 42.
- Desterie — Took Angnak’s Spark and the Termination Bead from their reach; ultimately killed all four in the original course of events 17 32 72.
- Polk — Their original target for a stronger Sovereign Spark; later struck Azure Dragon Island after receiving Desterie’s support 7 61 62.
