"Dr. Wells, I wasn't being reckless. There are just some things I have to do, and can do. Just now, there were over ten lives, even children. If I didn't save them, their lives would have been lost. Did they deserve to die?"

Barry said sternly, firm in his belief that he had done the right thing and what he was supposed to do.

Dr. Wells smiled and said, "Barry, do what you can, within your limits."

Caitlin, holding a file, slammed it down on the computer desk. Pointing at Barry, she said sharply, "If you break something in your body, don't expect me to fix it for you every time."

With that, Caitlin turned and left the control room.

Caitlin finally understood why Barry had been suffering from fractures and various injuries lately. Every time, Barry had brushed it off with excuses about not being skilled enough with his abilities. It wasn't until today, when she accidentally witnessed their operation, that she understood what was really going on.

She wasn't actually angry that Barry was saving people and doing good deeds. She was angry that Barry never took care of his own body and hadn't told her. If she had been there, monitoring Barry's physical condition, she could have treated him properly whenever he got injured. But the three men seemed to be working as a united front, which made her very unhappy, as if she were being excluded.

The men exchanged glances. Dr. Wells apologized to Barry and Lin Li, "Ever since the particle accelerator explosion, Caitlin has suffered significant psychological trauma. Please don't mind her."

Barry looked confused and frowned. "The particle accelerator explosion caused her psychological trauma?"

Cisco gave a wry smile. "It's better if she talks about it herself. We all hope she can overcome her trauma."

Dr. Wells suddenly said to Lin Li, "Lin Li, please, go and check on Caitlin."

Lin Li, who had been engrossed in watching the drama unfold, was startled. Why drag me into this? He didn't quite understand.

"Because you and Caitlin have been chatting more lately, and she hasn't been as cold towards you."

He went through several research labs and found Caitlin in the surgery room.

But Lin Li was not a normal man.

He said with feigned relief, "Oh, you're not angry? That's great."

Caitlin looked at Lin Li with a look that suggested she thought he was an idiot. She glanced at him and said, "Any normal man would be able to tell that I'm angry right now. I don't know if your supposedly smart brain is filled with water."

Lin Li fell silent, wanting to cry but having no tears. He took a deep breath. Women are so hard to understand!

The scene shifted back to the control room.

Shortly after Lin Li left, Dr. Wells asked Cisco and Barry, "What were you two doing just now?"

The two recounted the entire process.

Finally, Barry couldn't help but praise Cisco and Lin Li. "Lin Li and Cisco were truly amazing. Without their command and cooperation, and with this little device, the rescue operation today wouldn't have been so easy."

Barry held up the lightning emblem with immense admiration.

Dr. Wells wheeled his chair over to Barry and gestured for Barry to let him see the lightning emblem.

Barry handed the lightning emblem to Dr. Wells and continued, "This bio-magnetic attractor is really useful. Under high-speed oscillation, it generates a magnetic field that attracts biological entities. Because of this, we were able to save over ten people so quickly today."

Cisco also praised it highly. "It's brilliant. Lin Li is a true genius."

Wells carefully examined the lightning emblem and noticed a switch. He turned it on and pointed it at Cisco.

A weak suction force emanated from the lightning emblem.

Cisco stumbled forward a couple of steps.

He was very surprised. "This is incredible. My body involuntarily wants to fly towards that lightning emblem."

Barry beamed. "Right? Even though the range is only thirty meters, it's truly amazing."

Dr. Wells smiled and handed the lightning emblem back to Barry. He understood how it worked now.

Dr. Wells smiled and said, "Very good, this is quite impressive. Barry, be careful and do what you can, within your limits."

Barry was delighted that Dr. Wells didn't object. The approval of his idol and the joy of saving lives made him beam.

"Okay, Dr. Wells, I'll be careful."

Dr. Wells smiled and left the control room, wheeling his chair into the corridor, unseen by anyone.

Dr. Wells's expression instantly turned grim. That bio-magnetic attractor was definitely designed to deal with speedsters.

The device on Barry might still be weak, but it was just an early prototype. Dr. Wells estimated that this was a test product from Lin Li. In the future, there would definitely be more powerful applications of electromagnetic technology, far beyond this bio-magnetic attractor.
