Its sharp teeth sank into a thin layer of light, and no matter how it twisted its body, it could not break through.

"Good heavens—this thing is vicious."

Ron spoke in astonishment from the side. He had originally planned to pet it, but now it seemed that one careless move might get his palm bitten straight through.

Damon simply let the fire dragon attack, staring directly at it as his grip grew tighter and tighter.

Hagrid perked up and said excitedly to Damon:

"Of course! It's still only a child. I guarantee it'll behave!"

"If you can't treat it with the proper attitude, Hagrid, I'm afraid something will happen very soon. And when that happens, it won't be a joke."
