Background / History

Damon grew up at Sacred Heart Orphanage in Britain. Before entering the wizarding world, he was publicly known as a child piano prodigy; he later admitted that this reputation was a deception used to secure support for the orphanage. His real exceptional talent was magic. 1 61

After receiving his Hogwarts letter, Damon awakened a Magic System that grants Magic Points through breathing. He used its early gains to develop magic before school, demonstrating wandless levitation and transfiguring a quill into a fountain pen in front of Professor McGonagall. 1 2 3

Before Hogwarts, Damon used magical potions to cure the Duke of Westminster, receiving ownership of twenty factories and a Barclays Black Card in return. This established the wealth and Muggle-world business network he later manages through Shald Clement. 6 71

At the Sorting Ceremony, Damon explicitly rejected Slytherin despite the Sorting Hat recognizing his ambition, calmness, and cunning. He was sorted into Gryffindor, where he roomed with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and Seamus Finnigan. 12 13

Appearance

Damon is repeatedly described as handsome and elegant, with a composed manner that draws widespread attention from Hogwarts students. By the time he operates as Caliban Mortos, he has reached 175 cm in height. 7 10 149

  • His usual demeanor is calm, polished, and restrained, even in dangerous situations. 3 72
  • As Caliban Mortos, he uses Muggle makeup, silicone masks, and voice modification to appear as a mature adult wizard. 73 151
  • Mortos commonly wears a white inner layer, khaki vest, and black coat. 149

Personality

Damon is intensely ambitious, rational, and self-directed. He treats magical study as a long-term path toward reaching the pinnacle of the wizarding world, prioritizing steady mastery over reckless pursuit of advanced spells. 15 33

Although he can appear aloof and distant, Damon is protective of the people he values. He defends Hermione from Ron’s criticism, supervises Harry’s use of the Mirror of Erised, teaches his friends combat magic, and openly commits to opposing Voldemort. 14 39 65 70

He rejects blood-purity ideology and refuses Slytherin specifically because of Draco Malfoy’s use of “Mudblood.” He also opposes sacrificing individuals for a supposed “greater good,” challenging Dumbledore on this principle. 16 59 68

Damon is willing to bend or ignore rules when they obstruct his goals. This pragmatism extends to illegal magical-creature housing, his underage Auror identity, and his plan to test whether Muggles can learn magic. 54 73 176

Abilities & Skills

Magic System

Damon’s system generates Magic Points with every breath, allowing him to improve magical capacity and invest directly in skill branches. 1 2

  • Enabled his rapid early development before Hogwarts. 2 6
  • Provides structured mastery levels for Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, and Magical Creature Affinity. 6 14 15
  • His magic capacity reaches a known limit at System Level 9. 27

Charms Mastery

Damon’s primary magical specialization is Charms, which he develops from self-taught basic spellcasting to Master level. 6 126

  • Casts advanced spells such as Expelliarmus, Protego, Immobulus, Lumos, and the Patronus Charm. 10 33 99
  • Can cast low- and mid-level spells silently and, at times, wandlessly. 126 130
  • Uses Charms to teach Harry, Ron, and Hermione practical dueling techniques. 65 70
  • His first Patronus attempt succeeds, but initially lacks the emotional element needed for a corporeal form. 99
  • His Patronus later manifests as a white Chinese dragon capable of dispersing multiple curses. 154

Transfiguration

Damon is a prodigious Transfiguration practitioner and researcher, capable of transforming inanimate objects into animate forms and reversing complex transformations. 3 29

  • Created a Stone Giant from a Hogwarts bathroom basin to restrain a Mountain Troll. 29
  • Transfigures combat constructs, including a lion used to counter Snape’s summoned python. 113
  • Reshapes environments, including habitats for Norberta and Sparkle. 104

Sagitta Divinus

A self-created offensive spell that evolves from Damon’s early spellcasting research into his signature combat technique. 33 118

  • Forms condensed magical arrows, spikes, spears, and large-scale barrages. 126 153 154
  • Sagitta Divinus—Dispello pierces a Shield Charm and destroys the protected target behind it. 126
  • Sagitta Divinus—Pluvia generates dense light arrows capable of targeting numerous enemies simultaneously. 154
  • Its massive output causes a London earthquake during the black-market battle. 154
  • Damon considers it powerful but too slow to eliminate enemies before they can retaliate with curses. 154

Occlumency

Damon trains first under Professor Flitwick and later under Severus Snape, progressing unusually quickly. 61 99

  • Uses an Emotion Amplifier potion during training. 99
  • Resists mental interference curses during the black-market battle. 154
  • His aptitude surprises Snape and changes their lessons into increasingly serious mental combat. 99 104

Dueling and Auror Skills

Damon is an exceptionally versatile duelist whose approach combines Charms, Transfiguration, Conjuration, defensive magic, and battlefield control. 29 113

  • Defeats a Mountain Troll alone during his first year. 29
  • Duels Snape to a draw in the Great Hall. 113
  • Defeats Amelia Bones in a brief duel and pierces her Shield Charm without harming her. 72 73
  • Excels in Auror stealth and reconnaissance training. 108
  • Completes Auror training early and becomes a Striker, an Auror role focused on direct combat against criminals. 119

Magical Creature Handling

Damon displays strong control over dangerous magical creatures and maintains specialized habitats for them. 54 84 104

  • Raises and trains the Norwegian Ridgeback Norberta. 54 84
  • Uses Norberta as a sparring partner to improve reaction speed and combat adaptation. 62
  • Keeps the Thunderbird Sparkle in a custom-made environment. 102 104
  • Receives Dumbledore’s permission to keep Norberta and potentially a Thunderbird at Hogwarts, provided they cause no trouble. 84

  • Magical suitcase — Dragonhide case with an Undetectable Extension Charm, nine creature habitats, and magic-locked access; originally acquired to house Norberta. 55
