Han Debiao brought Han Changming back to HLD to begin cultivating when Changming was young. Changming continued to regard him as his Fifth Uncle and remembered his fondness for Green Plum Spirit Wine and braised beef 19.

He was selected as one of the Han Clan's Three Heroes alongside Han Daobin and Han Changshuo, granting him priority consideration for Foundation Establishment resources. After failing his first Foundation Establishment attempt, he chose to risk Thousand Poison Island in search of rare herbs that could heal Han Zhangxiang and earn him another opportunity 53 74.

After entering Foundation Establishment, Han Debiao focused increasingly on body cultivation. He changed to the Heavenly Baleful Spirit-Suppressing Scripture, which could advance to the Nascent Soul Realm but required Sha Qi and Baleful Suppression Pills 409. He can also be impulsive. While on Thousand Poison Island, Chen Yuanhua's provocations angered him enough that he disregarded Han Zhangxiang's instruction to follow Han Changming's orders 206.
