Entering the Heavenly Realm
"It is a pity. If I could reach the Paragon level through Faith Power and the Creation Divine Plane, I wouldn't have to sacrifice you. However, there is no need to expose the fact that I have reached the Paragon level for now. Since this Main God Spark is related to Augusta, I should pay Orf a visit in advance." Thinking of this, Lincoln recalled that the Death Chief Sovereign Hela had once mentioned to him that the previous owner of this Main God Spark was also a Paragon. "Although Hela has been a guest in the Chines Material Plane for a century, I should also pay her a visit. I have already visited Vivian, so in that case, I might as well visit the Destruction Chief Sovereign Uterede as well; I shouldn't appear too biased."
Aier had only just gone to the Water Divine Plane and did not intend to return for a short time. Furthermore, she had become a deity within her own body and possessed no other divine clones. Fortunately, her Wind Divine Clone had been traveling with her, so there were no issues regarding safety or companionship.
"Once I have finished visiting these Sovereigns one by one, it will be time to scout for a few Sovereign Envoys. I am not like those old fossils with their massive estates; there are still some matters that I need to arrange for Sovereign Envoys to handle."
In the Heavenly Realm, the sky was forever cloudless, with a white sun hanging high above, bringing light and warmth. Suddenly, this white sun dimmed rapidly, its brilliance fading from ten thousand rays of light into a fringe-like glimmer. The entire celestial phenomenon darkened as endless stars began to rotate around this "sun," revealing mysterious information.
On the Nate Continent, across a vast and level expanse of land, two giant open-air magic arrays, each a hundred meters in diameter, were arranged side by side. Several Mid-Gods wearing uniform white outfits were berating more than thirty living beings gathered nearby. Among these beings were humans, humanoid races, Magic Beasts, and so on, but most were only Saint-level, with only ten being of the Deity-level, and all of them were Low-Gods.
"Listen clearly! If you dare to whine or make a ruckus again and disturb my peace, I will send you to the Underworld immediately!" one of the stronger Mid-Gods shouted loudly.
"Can we still choose to go to the Underworld now?" a Magic Beast that looked like a black buffalo asked, not understanding the situation and thinking it was actually possible.
The strong Mid-God glared, striking the buffalo beast with a single punch and turning it into a pulp of flesh. "Anyone else who wants to go to the Underworld, just be like it—you can go once you're dead!"
Upon seeing this scene, those who had been whispering fell completely silent.
"You, you, and you—the rest of you, hurry up and clean this place, or the next one to rot here will be you!" Another tall and thin Mid-God randomly pointed at a few Saint-levels and issued the order.
Those pointed at, though reluctant, began to use their magic power to clean the ground.
Watching these Saint-levels, the tall and thin Mid-God sneered, "I don't know where you get the confidence to come to the Heavenly Realm while still at the Saint-level. Have you ever seen anyone who came to a Supreme Plane return? Big brother, let's make a bet: not one of these Saint-levels will live for more than half a month!"
The twenty or so Saint-levels became nervous upon hearing this. The strong Mid-God snorted and replied, "What is there to bet on? It's a guaranteed loss."
The tall and thin one was about to speak again when the ground suddenly shook. A monkey-like Magic Beast couldn't help but exclaim, "Is it an earthquake? Can the Heavenly Realm have earthquakes too?"
The strong man looked over again, about to take action, when the last Mid-God spoke up. "You come from a Material Plane, so it is normal not to know. This is a Star Quake. Whenever stars appear in the Heavenly Realm, parts of the land will float into the sky due to gravity, and they will return to normal once the stars disappear. Alright, stop talking. By tomorrow morning, we will send you away."
After the Mid-God finished speaking, he said nothing more. The Deity-levels and Saint-levels dared not speak either, and the strong Mid-God and the tall, thin Mid-God merely grunted and did not stir up any more trouble.
Just then, one of the magic arrays lit up again. The tall, thin one saw it was the special teleportation array for Material Planes and became interested again. "Hehe, it's probably another Saint-level coming to the Heavenly Realm to die."
The light faded, but it was a High-God who emerged, causing the Mid-Gods to fall silent. There were not many who cultivated to the High-God level in a Material Plane before coming to a Supreme Plane; rather, there were more High-Gods traveling across planes. Such High-Gods were generally powerful, and they dared not speak out of turn.
Lincoln stepped out of the teleportation array and scanned his surroundings. "This is the Nate Continent, right?" He then looked at the tall, thin man. "Who did you say was coming to die?"
The tall, thin man broke out in a cold sweat. He usually assessed people before drawing conclusions, but today he had simply wanted to save face in front of the other Mid-Gods and had blurted that out, never imagining he would kick an iron plate. Anyone who knew the name of the continent was certainly no "country bumpkin."
"My Lord, this lowly one meant that it is dangerous for Saint-levels to come to the Heavenly Realm and that it is like seeking death, but it is very wise for a High-God to come!" the tall, thin man hurriedly explained.
Lincoln stared at him, smiled, and pointed a finger. A surge of Radiant Divine Power poured into the tall, thin man's head, and he collapsed to the ground, a Mid-God Spark falling from between his brows. He had come to the Heavenly Realm to visit Orf to resolve the potential hidden dangers posed by Augusta, but this Mid-God had spoken recklessly. The Heavenly Realm was created by the Overgod of Fate; hearing "seeking death" the moment he arrived was a bad omen, so he could not blame him for being ruthless.
The other strong Mid-God immediately knelt, pleading anxiously, "My Lord, we did not know it was you who arrived. Please forgive us!" However, the last Mid-God stood his ground, merely cupping his hands in a neither servile nor overbearing manner. "My Lord, we all serve the Sovereigns!"
Lincoln turned his head with interest, staring at this Mid-God. He began to circulate the "Sacred" Mysteries in his eyes, and the Mid-God's body went limp as he fainted.
Lincoln smiled. "Quite interesting. Today, I will spare your lives." He directly channeled his Dark Sovereign Power and flew off into the distance. According to his test just now, the fainted Mid-God had already fused with three types of Mysteries; otherwise, he would not have been able to withstand his soul attack. Even if it was an insignificant attack, he was a person of perseverance and talent, so a minor punishment was sufficient.
At the August Garden, several attendants saw Lincoln flying toward them from afar and immediately reached out to block him. "Stop, traveler! This is the residence of the Fate Chief Sovereign. You may not enter without permission!"
Unlike most other Sovereigns, the residence of the Fate Chief Sovereign Orf was completely open. He was passionate about research and welcomed all Deity-levels, divine beasts, and even Sovereigns to join him. Of course, if the deity who came to join him had low strength and no special value, Orf would not blame them, but they would be met with the malice of other retainers.
Lincoln transmitted his voice directly, "I am the Dark Sovereign Lincoln. Please announce my arrival!"
