Background / History

Ryuen Kakeru enrolls at Ikusei High School as a first-year student assigned to Class C 4 6. A notorious delinquent and former gang leader from middle school, he advocates for violence and intimidation, quickly attempting to establish dominance over his classmates 6 7. On his first day, he aggressively targets upperclassmen in an alleyway to coerce school intelligence out of them 7.

However, his actions are secretly recorded on video by Shirogane Miyuki and Shiina Hiyori 7 8. Shirogane uses this incriminating footage as leverage to force Ryuen into a reluctant cooperation 8 9. Rather than getting expelled, Ryuen agrees to utilize his violent methods to consolidate and unify Class C under his rule, aiming to climb the rankings and reach Class A 8 9.

Throughout the first month, Ryuen relentlessly pursues physical dominance over his classmates, famously launching repeated ambushes against the massive and robust student Albert until Albert submits to his rule 19. Despite his aggressive style, Ryuen proves to be intelligent and strategic, successfully maintaining a relatively high class point total during the initial behavioral assessment while operating alongside Shirogane, who plays the "good cop" to counterbalance Ryuen's tyranny 23 33 34.

Ryuen is arrogant, conceited, and heavily worships the supremacy of violence 6 9. He is naturally inclined toward aggression, coercion, and underhanded tactics, viewing brute force as the primary tool to control people and extract information 6 7. At the same time, he possesses sharp intelligence, strategic thinking, and a solid understanding of psychology and manipulation 8 19.

Despite his delinquent tendencies, he is deeply ambitious and refuses to accept defeat, developing a strong desire to pull a "trash class" up from the absolute bottom to defeat Class A once he learns the true meritocratic nature of the school 8 19.
