Cawl's avatar fell silent.
After a moment, it spoke again.
"You have become increasingly cunning, like a despicable hunter who has learned to set traps for his enemies."
"This is not cunning. It is wisdom." Guilliman smiled. "The Warp is not the only place where schemes can be spun. We can do the same. Suspicion and doubt are equally deeply rooted in the hearts of those Warp creatures. They are reflections of our own hearts, and with a little use, they can produce remarkable results."
Among Khorne's servants was a Greater Daemon named Skarbrand, the embodiment of rage and slaughter.
Also known as The Exile and Wrath-Reaper, he had once been Khorne's greatest general and the mightiest of the Bloodthirsters.
He had been deceived and misled by Tzeentch, one of the Chaos Gods skilled in intrigue, and struck at his own master, Khorne, with an axe, ultimately leading to his exile.
This proved that Daemons were not invulnerable.
They were as fragile and foolish as mortals, capable of being toyed with and deceived by schemes.
"In any case, you have become increasingly terrifying," Cawl's avatar said. "Still, that is humanity's good fortune. They need a leader cunning and powerful enough."
"Any other news?" Guilliman did not care about Cawl's avatar's assessment of him.
"The Wrath Colossus, built using Death Star technology and Adeptus Mechanicus technology, has been completed. The Archmagos asks whether it should be deployed to the battlefield."
"Of course. We need powerful weapons to give the Xenos races of the Milky Way a little deterrence," Guilliman said. "Send word to the Archmagos. Have Calgar bring the Wrath Colossus here. We need it, and I hope it will perform well in the battles to come."
