After purchasing the test papers from that upperclassman, Onizuka turned and headed toward the rooftop of the nearby school building, where he had arranged to meet someone.
"Yo, Ryuen Kakeru, and his little sidekicks."
The person who had arrived was none other than the leader of Class C, Ryuen Kakeru, who had used violent means to subjugate the entire class within the first month of school.
In a sense, his reputation was known to everyone throughout the first year.
Hearing Onizuka's provocation, Albert lunged forward with his fists raised, not hesitating for a second, as if they had rehearsed it.
Ryuen, standing to the side, clearly had no intention of stopping him, seemingly wanting to intimidate Onizuka.
But the result was obvious; they had picked the wrong person.
Onizuka met the charge steadily, catching the arm Albert swung at him and pinning it firmly in front of him without any apparent effort.
The stark contrast between Albert's dark, muscular physique and the seemingly ordinary Onizuka made the scene look incredibly surreal.
Albert's face twisted in anger, and he seemed to want to swing his other hand.
"That's enough, Albert. It seems our guest doesn't quite appreciate our way of hosting."
Releasing Albert's arm, Onizuka stood his ground with a faint smile on his face.
"Not at all, I actually felt the hospitality was a bit lacking."
Ryuen narrowed his eyes slightly at the sight, the air thick with tension as he silently assessed his side's strength and the potential outcome.
"Well, let's leave it at that then. Next time we meet, I'll be sure to properly [host] you, Onizuka."
"Mhm, I hope you won't disappoint me when that time comes."
The atmosphere between the two eased slightly, no longer as hostile as it had been before.
Ryuen stood up from the rooftop vent, walked over to Onizuka, and stared directly into his eyes.
"So, what is this method you mentioned that would allow my entire class to pass the midterm exams without any effort?"
Their gazes locked in the air, neither willing to back down.
"If I just blurt it out, it wouldn't be a secret anymore, would it? Surely you understand that, Ryuen-kun?"
"Hmph!" Ryuen snorted, a look of disdain crossing his face. "In that case, state your price."
"Twenty thousand points every month."
Hearing Onizuka say this, Ryuen Kakeru let out a curse.
"Are you joking? There's no way I'm agreeing to those terms! I might consider it if it were a one-time payment of twenty thousand."
"One hundred thousand points!"
"Fifty thousand points!"
"Deal! By the way, do you need the methods to pass almost all the upcoming tests? I can bundle them and sell them to you together."
As if thinking of something, Ryuen clicked his tongue.
"The first exam is one thing, but if you think I need you to do the thinking for them in the tests that follow, you'd better get lost!"
Onizuka smiled. "Ryuen-kun, you really are a gentle person."
"Hmph, think what you want. Fine, the points have been transferred. Now, can you tell me your method?"
Glancing at his student ID to confirm the points had arrived as promised, Onizuka pulled a test paper out of his bag.
"Here, this is the answer."
Ryuen took it and flipped through it casually.
"Past exam papers? This is your answer? Heh, you've made quite a bit off this, haven't you?"
He glared through gritted teeth at Onizuka, who was already packing his bag to leave.
Onizuka pointed a finger at his head.
"Ryuen-kun, sometimes using your brain is more effective than using your fists. Bye-bye~"
Albert stepped forward from the side.
"Boss, should we take action now?"
"Forget it. Ibuki and the others aren't here, and we can't beat him. Let's wait until next time."
Having just walked out of the school building, Onizuka suddenly found himself with nothing to do.
The test papers in his hand could only be utilized to this extent.
Class A and Class B would never need such things to pass the midterms, and Class C had just been dealt with.
That left him with no choice but to focus on his own Class D.
The following afternoon was the day Ayanokoji and Horikita were holding their study session.
It was said that this study session was organized by Ayanokoji running around everywhere, which was truly different from the impression Onizuka had of him.
But these were trivial matters; soon, Onizuka arrived at the school café.
Sudo, Yamauchi, and even the group led by Onizuka, including Sato and Shinohara, were all here.
However, the atmosphere between them was far from pleasant; one could even say it was extremely terrible!
"Yo, everyone's here. What's wrong? Is the study session not going well?"
"Going well! It's going too well! This woman successfully tricked us into coming here just to vent her frustrations! I'm done!"
With that, Sudo shook off Kikyo Kushida, who was trying to hold him back, and turned to leave.
The rest of the group followed him out as well, and even Kikyo Kushida's repeated attempts to persuade them to stay had no effect.
"Looks like I arrived a bit late?" Onizuka laughed, regretting that he hadn't seen the show.
"Now is not the time to gloat, Onizuka-kun."
Onizuka looked at Kikyo Kushida standing to the side. "I'm not here to watch a joke, Kushida-san."
Having said that, he pulled a past exam paper out of his backpack.
"This is the cheat code for the 'Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right BA' to pass the exam."
Kikyo Kushida reached out to take it, but to her surprise, Onizuka pulled his hand back, and she grabbed at empty air.
"Onizuka-kun, what are you..."
Looking at the bewildered Kikyo Kushida, Onizuka held up the test paper.
"These are past exam questions. Given that this school has used the same question bank for years, as long as you have this paper, you're guaranteed to pass the exam. I wonder what kind of price you all can offer for this paper?"
Onizuka scanned the three people present: Horikita Suzune, who was watching coldly from the sidelines; Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, who seemed like a transparent person; and the anxious-looking Kikyo Kushida.
"Onizuka-kun, can't you just contribute it?"
"Of course I can! But Kushida-san, I spent quite a lot of points buying this paper from a senior. You can't expect me to pay for all of it, can you?"
"But... but haven't Sato and the others already paid their points?"
Onizuka didn't doubt for a second that Kikyo Kushida knew the truth of that; with her abilities, that would be as easy as pie.
"Sato and the others are Sato and the others. You wouldn't want Sudo and his group to get a free ride, would you? Wouldn't that be unfair to the others?"
"Can't the seven of us just split the cost of the paper?"
"That won't work. I believe my mental labor has value as well, and I deserve points for coming up with this method."
"But aren't you going to give this paper to Sato sooner or later? If you do that, everyone will know eventually!"
"That's exactly why I'm giving them the paper only two days before the exam. For those few, two days is far from enough time, right?"
Although it was a bit condescending toward her classmates, Kikyo Kushida knew very well that this was indeed the truth.
"Then why didn't you just bring them along from the start, Onizuka-kun?"
Onizuka waved his hand. "Ayanokoji-kun might understand just how hopeless those few are. I don't think Chabashira-sensei could convince them, and I don't think they have any points left to spare anyway."
Looking at the silent Kikyo Kushida, Onizuka smiled slightly.
"So, how about it? Will you pay on behalf of your classmates, kind Kushida-san and Horikita-san, who is so desperate to reach Class A?"
He glanced over at Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, who was sitting in his seat.
And I have to thank you, silent Ayanokoji-kun.
