Background / History
Ichinose is identified as the most important figure in Class B and its likely leader. When Onizuka first approaches her, she is already uneasy about the school's generous point system, feeling that its benefits are “unreal.” She agrees to arrange his requested meeting with Class B's homeroom teacher, Chie Hoshinomiya. 11
She later seeks Onizuka's advice over a confession from a girl in her class. Although she initially considers an evasive solution, she chooses to respond honestly while considering the confessor's feelings. 26
Before the special vacation exam, Hoshinomiya sends Ichinose to contact Onizuka. She agrees to cooperate with him and Class D, but is disturbed when he offers to act as an independent mole against his own classmates. 27 28
Appearance
Ichinose is portrayed with pink hair, a bright smile, and a lively, approachable presence. During the Uninhabited Island exam, she wears the school tracksuit. 38 50
- Pink-haired. 50
- Often maintains a warm, friendly expression. 11 50
- Her normally gentle demeanor can become firm and pressuring when confronting others. 51
Personality
Ichinose is compassionate, candid, and strongly attached to Class B. She is uncomfortable with lying and has difficulty accepting tactics that treat classmates as expendable, even when those tactics would benefit her class. 27 57
Her empathy is paired with a notable intuition for people. She distrusts Kushida despite Kushida's friendly public image, recognizes when Onizuka has ulterior motives, and is sensitive to the moral cost of her class's decisions. 26 115
Although she feels guilt after helping betray Class D during the Uninhabited Island exam, she eventually accepts that survival sometimes requires selfish choices. Her concern remains focused on preserving the support and unity of Class B. 57
