Just as Daddy was about to burn all these pirate ships, he didn't expect someone to come knocking for a partnership so soon.

However, Daddy ultimately didn't extinguish that last shred of his humanity.

Because he had seen the desperate longing for life in the eyes of those pirate underlings.

Kuro and El Drago might have sneered at it, but Zoro and Nami were quite supportive of Daddy's approach.
