Pirates: I Open Susanoo with the Barrier-Barrier Fruit

The Poker Pirates' officers had been gambling over a card game when the piercing alarm suddenly rang out. They all frowned.

They had occupied the island for six years and had long been the strongest pirate crew in the area. No other pirates dared to provoke them.

Could the Marines be attacking?

"Let's go see what's happening!"

The men immediately stood up and hurried outside, while Skunk flew off using his Gas Jetpack.

In the top-floor hall of Clockwork Island, Bear King had already spotted the approaching Big Daddy Pirates through a telescope. He tensed, but quickly forced himself to calm down.

"Get the Giant Clockwork running at once, and aim the King Cannon at them!

"I refuse to believe anyone can withstand the King Cannon's power!"

Bear King shouted murderously. He had been running Clockwork Island for six years, and the King Cannon had been built to deal with powerful crews like the Krieg Pirates and the Arlong Pirates.

No one was going to take Clockwork Island from him!

The Big Daddy Pirates had wiped out the Krieg Pirates and the Arlong Pirates, but as long as Bear King blasted their ship to pieces, everything would be easy!

'Ka-clack... ka-clack...'

The machinery of Clockwork Island turned continuously, slowly rotating the entire island.

The enormous King Cannon was now aimed at the rapidly approaching Big Daddy Pirates!

"Fire!!"

At Bear King's command, a gigantic cannonball, two or three meters in diameter, blasted toward the Big Daddy Pirates.

"Go to hell! Even with a 30-million-berry bounty, you'll die by my hand! Hahaha!!"

Bear King laughed arrogantly. Seeing their captain so confident made the officers a little less afraid of the Big Daddy Pirates.

Daddie was training aboard the Dreadnaught Sabre when a glint of red flashed in his eyes. He dropped the enormous dumbbell, rushed to the bow, and leaped onto Momoo's head.

'Guardian Barrier!!'

Standing on Momoo's head, Daddie raised a huge transparent barrier, leaving Nami and the others stunned.

The next moment, a massive cannonball came crashing down and struck the barrier, setting off a tremendous explosion. The churning waves sent the entire pirate ship rocking violently.

"El Drago! Blast them back! Everyone, move out! Kill them!"

Daddie was going to slaughter the trash pirates who had interrupted his training himself!

As if sensing Daddie's fury and bloodlust, Momoo swam even faster, eager to reach the island.

"Understood!"

'Sonic Cannon!'

El Drago had been startled by the sudden attack too. Sensing the chill in Captain Daddie's voice, he immediately charged up furiously and fired at the top of Clockwork Island.

Bear King couldn't believe that his ultimate weapon, which he had spent years preparing, had been blocked!

"Captain, look out!"

Skunk lunged over and knocked Bear King to the ground. A terrifying blue-white sonic beam pierced through the top-floor hall.

"Quick! Load the second shot!!"

Bear King was truly starting to panic. The Big Daddy Pirates seemed far stronger than he had imagined.

They soon finished loading and fired again, but this shot was even more terrifying.

The opposing crew's forty-meter sword sliced it clean in half, leaving it no chance to explode near them!

'Gulp!!' xn.

"Captain, we should run!"

Skunk said urgently. The Big Daddy Pirates were far beyond anything they could handle.

With the King Cannon useless, they had no hope at all in a direct fight!

"Right! We'll retreat for now! Judging by their course, they're definitely heading for the Grand Line. We'll lie low, then come back and get them!"

Bear King didn't hesitate. He turned and ran at once, more decisive than his underlings.

Seeing this, the other officers immediately fled too. The Big Daddy Pirates had put far too much pressure on them.

But after being fired on twice, Daddie wasn't about to let them escape!

Momoo had already brought the Dreadnaught Sabre to the shore of Clockwork Island. The Big Daddy Pirates' crew disembarked at once and charged up toward the island's summit, cutting down anyone in their way.

On Bear King's orders, the pirate underlings fought desperately to hold back the Big Daddy Pirates while the officers tried to escape from the other side.

But Daddie had already awakened Observation Haki, and he quickly sensed the powerful vermin trying to flee. Among the mass of underlings, their presence shone like fireflies in the night!

"Two Devil Fruit Users! And a bunch of useless trash!"

Daddie drew the Sandai Kitetsu and charged after them. Zoro and Kuro immediately followed. They knew Daddie had Observation Haki and must have sensed something, and they were working hard to awaken it themselves.

'Rumble!!'

A transparent barrier came down like a giant blade, cutting across the ground in front of Bear King and the other four. They all jumped in fright.

Bear King clenched his teeth. His whole body turned red, like heated steel, and he rammed furiously into the glasslike barrier.

He refused to believe he couldn't smash through it!

'Clang!!'

With a tremendous crash, Bear King was hurled backward. He rolled dozens of times across the ground, blood pouring uncontrollably from his mouth.

Seeing their captain in such a state, the Poker Pirates' officers each used their own tricks to flee in panic.

Skunk's Gas Jetpack roared to life, leaving behind a cloud of poisonous gas as he desperately flew into the sky. Honey Queen turned into a blob of paste and instantly slipped away through a gap.

Pin Joker tried to escape too, but ran into his old rival, Zoro. They had fought before, and Pin Joker had once suffered a crushing defeat at the Pirate Hunter's hands.

Kuro of a Hundred Plans cut Pig Jack down in an instant. Against a nobody with a bounty of barely three million, Kuro didn't need a second move!

"I hate this stuff the most!"

The stench of the poisonous gas Skunk had left behind made the veins on Daddie's forehead throb. Trash like this had to die!

'Barrier Thrust!!'

The huge barrier on the ground instantly changed shape, becoming a massive spike that shot into the sky. It pierced straight through Skunk, leaving him drenched in blood. Daddie then sent him flying with a savage blow, straight to hell.

Pin Joker was also cut down by Zoro after a few exchanges, left with no strength to fight back!

By then, Bear King had gotten back to his feet. But seeing one of his subordinates dead, one escaped, and two badly injured, his eyes went bloodshot. He activated his Steel-Steel Fruit power, and the temperature of his body rose again!

"I'll fight you to the death!!"

Like a red-hot locomotive, Bear King charged at Daddie with unstoppable force.

"Impact Barrier!!"

Daddie didn't take him seriously at all. He sent a huge Impact Barrier crashing toward Bear King, then turned without looking back and chased after the Paramecia Paste-Paste Fruit User.

There was no way to escape from his Observation Haki so easily!
