After a brief pause, the Den Den Mushi finally responded as Rear Admiral Garp waited anxiously.

"Fine, Monkey D. Garp. Remember your promise!"

Brook hadn't expected much, but he agreed anyway. He'd never thought Garp would make a decision like this. All he wanted was for that mad dog not to come after him.

After that, Brook ignored whatever else Garp had to say, hung up the Den Den Mushi, and told his crew to leave at once, leaving behind three Marine warships and their wounded sailors.

Before long, Garp's warship reached the waters around Asuka Island. He found Temp and the others and woke them up, only to discover that Temp and the other officers didn't recognize him at all, as if they'd lost their memories.

It wasn't until the other ordinary Marines woke up that Garp learned they'd encountered Brook's Hell Pirates.

"So it was Brook. They actually have a crew member who can make people lose their memories? Is it a Memory Devil Fruit?"

With no other choice, Garp personally escorted the amnesiac Marine officers back to Marineford. In the end, they determined that their memories probably couldn't be restored, so they would have to learn everything anew and be trained from scratch.

Garp was a little upset. They'd agreed that nothing would happen!

And now they'd lost their memories. Brook, you bastard, you lied to me!

Through the Marines who hadn't lost their memories, Marine Headquarters learned about the Hell Pirates. After combining that with the investigation on Asuka Island, they finally compiled the crew's roster and issued new wanted posters.

Meanwhile, the Yomi continued sailing toward the next island.

"Captain Brook, our destination this time is Drum Island, a famous medical powerhouse. We're sure to find a strong doctor to join us!"

Shakky looked inside the box. There were only a few Eternal Poses, all carefully prepared by Moore Thomas himself. She took out the Eternal Pose for the World Government-affiliated Drum Kingdom.

"Not bad. I think there's a powerful doctor in her eighties on Drum Island."

Brook thought of Dr. Kureha. Doctorine should be eighty-nine by now. He wondered if she still went to sea. He also thought of Crocus, another excellent doctor.

When Crocus wasn't watching over Twin Capes, he would go to the medical powerhouse of Drum Island to buy medical books and study on his own. He was highly gifted in medicine, and his self-taught skills would later earn him an invitation to join Roger's ship, where he treated Roger's terminal illness and extended his life by three years.

The Rumbar Pirates had known Crocus before, and they'd entrusted Island Whale Laboon to his care. Brook wondered if Crocus would be willing to give up guarding Twin Capes and go to sea with him as their ship's doctor.

In his forties, Crocus had accepted Roger's invitation partly to find news of the Rumbar Pirates for Laboon. He'd boarded the Roger Pirates' ship and served briefly as their doctor. Clearly, he still had deep feelings for Brook and the others.

If they couldn't find a doctor willing to become a pirate on Drum Island, they could go find Crocus. They could bring Laboon along, too. Brook believed he could protect Laboon, and the whale had plenty of potential as well. He belonged to the Island Whale species, whose members were as large as islands.

"Let's not look for an eighty-year-old doctor, Captain Brook. Pirate adventures aren't a vacation!"

Shakky complained. She couldn't understand what was going through Brook's head. An old woman in her eighties could die on the voyage at any moment, and he wanted her to save people?

"Dr. Kureha knows the secret to longevity. Even at a hundred and fifty, she'll still be full of energy. Don't underestimate her!"

At a hundred and thirty-nine, Dr. Kureha could still chase Luffy and his crew around with a flying knife. As the only doctor free to move around under Wapol's tyranny, she was no weaker than Wapol—in fact, she was even stronger than Luffy's crew at the time.

As the saying went, the older they got, the more cunning they became. Whenever the quack Dr. Hiriluk caused an accident by recklessly trying to save someone, Kureha was always the first to arrive and fix things. That showed just how powerful her Observation Haki was.

She also knew the secrets of the Will of D. That alone showed she wasn't just some ordinary old doctor.

"No matter how extraordinary she is, she's still an old woman. Captain, don't recruit her, or she'll raise the average age of the crew!"

Shakky didn't want to face an old doctor every day, so she hurried to make her opinion clear.

"It's as if I could recruit a master doctor like her just by asking. Don't get your hopes up!"

Brook had no confidence at all that he could recruit Dr. Kureha. An old woman who'd grown cunning with age wouldn't be easy to fool. And he couldn't force her, either. A doctor could quietly kill you without you even realizing it.

"Captain Brook, there seems to be a huge Waterfall Cloud up ahead. It's spectacular!"

Fish-Man Tom called out to Brook from the helm. The others soon spotted it, too: a Waterfall Cloud stretching for dozens of kilometers across the distant sea, like a curtain connecting the sky to the ocean. It was an astonishing sight!

The Grand Line's wonders truly left them speechless. Nature was beautiful!

"Captain Brook, should we go take a look and see what secrets the Waterfall Cloud holds?"

Fish-Man Tom was eager to explore. Brook, as a Devil Fruit User, was wary of such a mysterious sight at sea.

"I want to go take a look, too, Captain!"

Redfield was excited to go on an adventure with the others. Wasn't a place full of unknowns the perfect spot to explore?

Seeing how interested Shakky and Silvers were, Brook had no choice but to go along with everyone's wishes and explore the Waterfall Cloud. Antonio would certainly go along with the group, too.

"Woohoo! Let's go exploring!"

Since Redfield had stopped using his special Observation Haki on his companions, he'd become much more cheerful. As the saying went, seeing too clearly brought pain; being a little muddleheaded let you enjoy life!

After devouring so many memories, the Memory Seahorse had grown much bigger. It could no longer perch on Brook's shoulder. Even more amazingly, after devouring Temp's memories, it seemed to have learned a little of the Six Powers.

At the very least, it could perform Evil God-chan's tail kick: Shigan: Tail Kick. The Memory Seahorse could also use a little Geppo, staying airborne for a short time. Shakky and the others were envious.

They each got a copy of the Six Powers and the Haki Awakening method, transcribed by Redfield, and began training. Tom, the bull-horned fish-man, had an exceptionally powerful body and was already showing signs of awakening Armament Haki.

Redfield's Observation Haki was improving rapidly, and his swordsmanship was growing ever more formidable. His talent far surpassed Brook's.

The sniper Silvers followed Brook's instructions and devoted himself to training his Observation Haki. He also needed to master Soru and Geppo, the two techniques for rapid movement, so he could quickly find a good position to fire from.

As for Antonio, there was no need for him to kill enemies. Learning a few skills to keep himself safe was enough. He, too, should focus on Soru and Geppo. There was no point in thinking about Haki.

Shakky wanted to learn everything, and she was putting that ambition into action. She wasn't slacking off at all; she was highly disciplined and had a real desire to grow stronger.
