With the entire Sky Kingdom participating in the massive shipbuilding project, the Golden Ship was completed at a speed visible to the naked eye. Once the lightning storage containers from Birka Island were installed onto the new vessel, a mechanical roar echoed through the air.
Nearly a thousand Breath Dials were mounted on both sides of the Golden Ship for propulsion, and Redfield charged the hundreds of Thunder Dials connected around the lightning storage containers. This accounted for almost the entire stock of Dials in the Sky Kingdom.
After Fish-Man Tom pressed the ignition button, the massive spiral fan wings began to spin rapidly, and to everyone's delight, the Golden Ship successfully took flight.
Brook watched with surging enthusiasm; it was hard to imagine that the black technology of this world could truly lift such a massive warship into the sky!
"Captain Brook, with the lightning storage containers and the power of one hundred and twenty Thunder Dials, we can sustain flight for half a month even without Redfield's recharging!"
This was the result even after accounting for significant energy loss. If they had used the technology of the Moon People, it could likely sail for even longer. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been worth it for the Moon People to travel all the way from the distant moon to the Sky Island with only enough energy for a month or two!
On the Golden Ship, the interior was brightly lit, with Lamp Dials installed in every corner. The kitchenware had been replaced with Heat Dials and Flame Dials, and the showers were equipped with Water Dials.
Brook looked at the Tone Dials; every crew member wanted to record their own songs to listen to in their rooms, leaving Brook feeling a mix of amusement and helplessness. He had almost forgotten that his former self was a famous musician.
Perhaps he could return to his old profession, create a few popular hits, or steal a few famous songs from Earth? Something lyrical, passionate, or soul-shaking.
Meanwhile, Shakky had learned a vast amount of knowledge regarding navigation in the Grand Line and the New World from the weather-obsessed elders of Weatheria, even mastering the use of things like Wind Knots.
What angered those weather elders most was that Shakky had taken several weather ships and placed them on the Golden Ship. These were vital transport tools for Weatheria, used to fly down to the Blue Sea to purchase supplies and gather news intelligence.
The interiors of the weather ships were equipped with machines capable of generating various natural phenomena, such as gales, rainstorms, and lightning strikes, which also served as their defensive weapons.
The main cannon of the Golden Ship was designed by the sniper Silvers in collaboration with Fish-Man Tom, incorporating the design concepts and patterns of the Ancient Weapon Pluton.
The Golden Ship was not as vulnerable to wind as the Golden Lion's flying fleet, because it possessed both a lightning-driven system and a Breath Dial propulsion system. However, in the face of extreme weather, it would still need to descend to the sea to navigate.
The Golden Lion's Float-Float Fruit could only make his pirate ships float; forward momentum still relied on wind, and the oars on the sides of his ships were of little use. Thus, his flying fleet feared stormy weather above all else!
With the new ship completed, a banquet was naturally held to celebrate and to name the vessel. Since the original Yomi had been dismantled for parts and no longer existed, the crew felt the name didn't quite fit the aura of the Golden Ship.
Moreover, a new ship usually didn't carry the name of the old one, much like the Straw Hat Pirates' Going Merry and Thousand Sunny.
Brook decided on a new name: Yama. Wherever Yama goes, the enemies shall be filled with wailing!
In the future, Yama must become even more famous than the Ancient Weapon Uranus, the Ancient Weapon Pluton, and the Ancient Weapon Poseidon.
"Congratulations on the completion of the Golden Ship, Yama! Long live!"
"I don't know what it means, but the Captain's word is law, so it's settled!"
Earlier, Shakky had wanted to name it Golden Rose, but she was rejected by everyone, leaving her feeling a bit resentful.
During the banquet, Brook instructed the Minister of Civil Affairs, Gan Fumo, and the Minister of Military Affairs, Wadica, to guard the Golden City well. He also warned Moore Thomas not to bring any newly hired employees up to the Sky Island.
They had to be strictly vetted, and they would have to wait for the Hell Pirates to return so that Redfield could inspect them before they could officially join the World Economic News Agency of the Sky Kingdom. Otherwise, they would have to stay at the branch on Jaya Island.
Brook held the one- or two-year-old Morgans, expressing his affection. He hadn't expected that fellow Moore Thomas to have fed him a Devil Fruit so soon.
The current Morgans already showed some physical traits of the Zoan: Albatross Form. No wonder the future Morgans was so fond of his beast form, and he hadn't even learned to fly yet!
Brook also "requested" a weather ship from Weatheria and left it for Moore Thomas, telling him to use it to purchase supplies from below Jaya Island and bring them up to the Sky Island.
Because most of the Sky Island's Dials had been scavenged by Brook's crew, their production might face minor difficulties in the coming year. However, the Sky Island was rich in gold, so they could easily purchase various supplies on Jaya Island.
Time passed quickly, and the crew of the Hell Pirates had made all the necessary preparations to march into the New World and welcome powerful future crewmates.
With Moore Thomas's World Economic News Agency, Brook already stood at the pinnacle of information. All the famous figures of the future were now under his surveillance.
Whenever an opportunity arose, Brook would personally set out to recruit these new pirates! Especially monsters like Kaido.
"So exciting! The Golden Ship, the pirate ship I've dreamed of!"
Shakky stood at the helm, pushing the helmsman, Fish-Man Tom, aside. She wanted to be the first to steer the Golden Ship! "Hell Pirates, set sail!!!"
Shakky shouted. Fish-Man Tom shook his head helplessly and pressed the start button, while Redfield casually added a bolt of lightning to the Thunder Dials to top them off.
The numerous Breath Dials provided upward thrust, causing Yama to rise rapidly. The spiral fan wings spun at high speed, driving Yama forward as it flew toward the New World!
Shakky also took out the Weather Predictor from Weatheria to monitor the harsh weather of the Grand Line at all times.
"Captain Brook, are we heading to Fish-Man Island after visiting the Sabaody Archipelago? I thought we were going to cross the Red Line directly!"
Shakky was quite happy, as the Sabaody Archipelago was her hometown where she had lived for over a decade. Returning for a visit was a pleasant prospect, especially doing so while piloting the Golden Ship.
There was a certain pride and sense of accomplishment in returning home in such grand style!
"Captain Brook, are you sure this Golden Ship won't make other pirate crews covet us?"
The intelligence officer, Antonio, was a bit worried. It was too flashy; he felt it would attract many greedy pirates!
"Anyone who dares to provoke the Hell Pirates will be annihilated by my lightning!"
Lightning flickered on Redfield's hands, sparks jumping and crackling, which eased Antonio's mind significantly.
Captain Brook's strength was immense, and Brother Redfield's abilities were no less than the Captain's. They would certainly be able to protect Yama. Plus, the Silvers brothers were also very strong; everyone was quite capable.
Antonio clenched his fists, filled with hope for the future. He would have to make sure to gather all information about the islands ahead from his Den Den Mushi brothers!
