| Affiliation | Demon Domain; allied with Saint Races, including the Pang Clan 155 169 |

| First Appearance | Mentioned as residing along the Southern Territory border 76 |
Background / History
The Demon Race has fought the Human Race for roughly a thousand years. The Human Race describes the conflict as a prolonged defensive war, with the Demon Race holding greater overall strength and having previously swallowed the Western Borderlands before pressing toward the Northern Territory. Lingxiao Heaven Pass repeatedly stalled that advance. 94 165
Its population is divided among many clans, each capable of producing its own outstanding younger generation. A captured demon genius knew little beyond his own clan, limiting the Human Race's ability to identify and prepare for other Demon Race prodigies. 93
The race possesses at least two True Saints and numerous Sub-Saints; its upper echelons are considered stronger than those of the Human Race's Eastern, Western, and Northern Territories. 96 99 165
Physiology and Cultivation
Demon Race members display varied beast traits and may assume humanoid forms.
- A Tiger Demon is described with a tiger head and human body. 87
- A five-tailed demonkin is held captive at Beacon Fire City. 95
- The Golden-Winged Peng Demon possesses a colossal true form, then assumes a young humanoid form to fight Bai Jing more effectively. 202 203
- The Rhino Demon is several meters tall in beast form, with scaled limbs and a crimson horn; he can also move with extreme speed despite his bulk. 103
- Demon cultivators can form Demon Cores, such as the Rhino Demon preparing to condense one. 132
Demon Race methods differ from Human Race methods but are presented as pursuing the same ultimate principles: defying heaven, borrowing the Dao, and seeking longevity. Their techniques possess distinctive strengths, including secret arts that can temporarily multiply a cultivator's power. 109 100
Society and Factions
Clans and Bloodlines
The Demon Race is organized across numerous clans and bloodlines.
- Demon Saint descendants — Zhu Qing bears the surname Zhu and is identified as a descendant of a Demon Saint; his Saint bloodline is treated as a major source of power. 96
- Ox Clan — Xihuai's clan; its ancestor attempts to intervene after Bai Jing kills Pang Qing. 176
- Golden-Winged Peng lineage — A mixed-blood Peng Demon possesses thin Golden Peng bloodline, explaining why its body falls short of a true Golden-Winged Great Peng's reputed potential. 205
- Pang Clan — A Saint Race allied with the Demon Domain; Pang Qing fights alongside Demon Race forces. 155 162

Demon Race Newcomers
A large group of Demon Race newcomers is dispatched to temper itself in the Southern Territory. Their arrival immediately results in coordinated assassinations of Human Race patrols, killing five disciples and injuring fifteen. The attackers are only at the Dao Platform Realm, but their strength allows them to kill before life-saving measures can activate. 93
The force includes peerless geniuses and at least two Inner Core cultivators, creating a major disparity against the Human Race's younger generation. 96
Northern Territory Forces
On the Northern Territory battlefield, Demon Race forces field large numbers of Dharma Aspect cultivators and nearly thirty supreme Dharma Manifestation cultivators of the younger generation. They also receive support from Saint Races of other regions. 155 160 172
The Demon Race uses level-separated battles to pressure Lingxiao Academy's successors and damage the academy's future strength over time. 165
