Araki and Moria reached Wano Country after Kaido left for Marineford and used the Mist Ark and Mist-born ninjas to overwhelm the Beasts Pirates guarding the cliff waterfall. Queen learned that Sasaki had been defeated and led his men toward the waterfall to confront the intruders.

• Araki waited seven days near Wano Country until Kaido’s flagship departed, then ordered the Mist Ark to move out.
• The Beasts Pirates tried to stop the Mist Ark at the cliff waterfall, but Araki’s Mist-born ninjas reversed the waterfall and swept away most of the defenders.
• Araki ordered his group to make landfall while Moria watched the attack in shock.
• A surviving pirate told Queen that Sasaki had been defeated and the intruders had reversed the waterfall’s current.
• Queen suspected Whitebeard might be behind the attack, then gathered his men and headed for the cliff waterfall.

Araki and his allies attacked the Beasts Pirates in the Ringo region, where Gekko Moria confronted Queen. After a massive Water Release flooded the battlefield, Perona and Moria finished off the weakened pirates.

• Queen arrived with Ulti, Page One, and other Beasts Pirates, then challenged Moria to a fight.
• Moria absorbed a thousand shadows and used his giant form to repel Queen’s attacks.
• Araki and the Mist Village shinobi unleashed a huge Water Release wave that flooded the battlefield and overwhelmed the Beasts Pirates.

After crushing the Beasts Pirates, Araki took Shusui and went to the Flower Capital to overthrow Kurozumi Orochi. He left the story facing Orochi and declaring himself Wano Country’s new Sword God.

• Moria removed the Beasts Pirates’ shadows and sent them aboard the Mist Ark, while Araki told him to rest and leave Wano Country’s takeover to the others.
• Araki asked Moria for Shusui, intending to use the blade’s status as Wano Country’s national treasure to support his rule.

• Araki cut Kurozumi Orochi in half, then ordered Hua Bing to freeze him and Kyoshiro to gather Wano Country’s people for a public execution.
• Kyoshiro and Komurasaki arranged to notify the people, while Kyoshiro openly turned against Orochi’s remaining followers.

Araki urged Gekko Moria to use the shadows of Kozuki Oden’s retainers to prepare for his rematch with Kaido. Moria absorbed thousands of shadows and began battling Kaido aboard the Mist Ark, leaving the fight raging as he turned Kaido’s tornado back on him.

• Araki explained that Kozuki Oden had wounded Kaido and that Oden’s retainers’ shadows could strengthen Moria against him.
• Kaido delayed joining the war while the Beasts Pirates repaired their ship, then spotted the Mist Ark and ordered his crew to take it.

At Marineford, the assembled Seven Warlords questioned why several members were absent, prompting Sengoku to explain their choices and threaten the others. As Doflamingo questioned Gekko Moria’s decision to confront Kaido, Hawkeye praised Moria’s courage and Kuma said Moria might not be going to his death.

• Doflamingo asked Sengoku why the other Warlords had not arrived, and Hancock demanded to know why she could not leave too.
• Sengoku said Jinbe had chosen imprisonment rather than fight Whitebeard, while Moria had volunteered to intercept Kaido, and warned Hancock and Doflamingo to behave.
• Doflamingo questioned how Moria could hope to challenge Kaido, privately envying his willingness to face the Yonko.
• Hawkeye praised Moria for confronting his fear, and Kuma said Moria might not be going there to die.

Araki defeated Kaido and brought him to Wano Country, where the people celebrated the end of his rule and Araki began rebuilding the nation. Yamato then asked to join Araki’s efforts.

• Doflamingo failed to get an explanation from Bartholomew Kuma and turned his attention to the fighting at Marineford.
• Araki defeated Kaido and sealed his soul, while King the Conflagration submitted to him.
• Moria regained his resolve and Haki, declared his ambition to become Pirate King, and flew toward Marineford using King’s shadow.
• Araki returned to Wano Country with Kaido and King, displaying Kaido’s body at the Sword Pavilion as the people celebrated.

Gekko Moria announced that he had killed Kaido, then unleashed Conqueror's Haki and fought Doflamingo after Doflamingo refused to believe him. Moria countered Doflamingo's threads with a fiery slash and left the attack closing in on Doflamingo.

• Moria spread the news that he had killed Kaido and released Conqueror's Haki, knocking out Marines and pirates nearby.
• Doflamingo was stunned by Moria's claim because Kaido had been his powerful underworld ally and business backer.
• Doflamingo confronted Moria in the air, demanded to know whether he had killed Kaido, and attacked with Five Color Thread.

After Moria claimed he had defeated Kaido, Big Mom flew into a rage and prepared to confront Marine Headquarters. Katakuri stopped her from sailing into a dangerous trap and persuaded her to head for Wano Country instead, where she could check whether Kaido was alive and seize his territory if he was gone.

• Araki sailed toward the Florian Triangle with Yamato after stabilizing Wano Country, intending to keep Yamato under watch and bring more ninjas to the sea.
• Perospero showed Big Mom a broadcast of Moria defeating Doflamingo and reporting that he had taken out Kaido.
• Big Mom erupted in fury and ordered her crew to prepare a ship for Marineford.

Katakuri accompanied the mad Big Mom toward Marineford, while the Marineford battle reached its climax with Ace and Whitebeard fatally struck. As the Marines pursued the weakened Whitebeard Pirates, Shanks and Big Mom arrived, leaving Sengoku facing two Emperors.

• Big Mom rejected Katakuri's suggestion to go directly to Wano and set sail for Marineford with him, while Katakuri kept the rest of the family behind.
• Sengoku stopped Moria and Doflamingo's fight, and Doflamingo doubted that Moria had killed Kaido.

• Katakuri joined Big Mom and used his awakened Mochi-Mochi Fruit to reshape the battlefield, making the fight harder for the Marines.
• Sengoku restrained Garp and told him to handle Shanks, who was arriving with the Red Hair Pirates.

• Morgans weighed the major stories from Marineford and decided to seek out Kaido's whereabouts.
• Araki spotted Moria fleeing Big Mom toward the Florian Triangle and worried that another Emperor's fall would invite a Marine invasion of the New World.

Araki, disguised as Revolutionary Army leader Monkey D. Dragon, forced Gecko Moria to join the Revolutionary Army while fighting Big Mom Charlotte Linlin. He overwhelmed Big Mom with seawater and stopped Moria from killing her, then took Moria away as Dragon sneezed back at Baltigo.

• Araki guided Moria and Big Mom away from the Florian Triangle, then appeared before Moria disguised as Monkey D. Dragon and offered him a place in the Revolutionary Army.
• As Big Mom closed in, Araki demanded Moria agree to join before he would help, and Moria accepted to escape the danger.
• Araki attacked Big Mom with water dragons, then summoned a hundred that overwhelmed her despite her Homies’ aid.
• A water dragon weakened Big Mom and knocked her from Zeus toward the sea, but Araki stopped Moria from finishing her and told him to come along.
• At Baltigo, the real Dragon sneezed repeatedly after welcoming Emporio Ivankov back, and Koala asked if he had caught a cold.

After helping Moria escape Big Mom, Araki persuaded him to rebuild his strength and guard the Florian Triangle while training recruits. Araki returned to Wano Country and gave Morgans an interview about Kaido’s capture and Wano’s new leadership.

• Dragon said the Revolutionary Army could exploit the disorder after Marineford and the Marines’ weakened control to launch a revolution.
• Araki advised Moria to restore his physical strength before pursuing the Pirate King title, and Moria agreed to train and recruit in the Florian Triangle for two years.

The news reached the Whitebeard remnants and the Mink Tribe, where Inuarashi and Nekomamushi began discussing preparations for the young master’s return.

• Araki told Morgans that Yamato had joined him willingly, warned him against publishing falsehoods, and gave him a prepared account of a Wano swordsman’s return.

• Dragon and Sabo considered contacting Wano Country, and Dragon decided to travel there himself.
• Blackbeard ordered his crew to sail to Wano Country so he could take Kaido’s Azure Dragon fruit.

The World Government and Wano Country finalized their Seastone trade while the Revolutionary Army chose not to interfere. Blackbeard’s crew infiltrated the Flower Capital and attacked its defenders, prompting Araki to ask Kizaru to deal with the traitorous former Warlord.

• The World Government and Wano Country quickly settled the terms of their Seastone trade.

• Araki used the threat to his subordinates as a reason to postpone signing the trade document, so the government commissioner persuaded Kizaru to go help.
• Kizaru arrived outside the Flower Capital, where the tailed beasts were fighting the Blackbeard Pirates, and Teach warned him not to interfere.

There, the Revolutionary Army had killed Sanjuan Wolf, and as the pirates tried to flee on his corpse, Araki ordered the Mist Village ninja to attack.

• Blackbeard used the Tremor-Tremor Fruit to shatter the crystal floor and escape Kizaru’s golden light bullets, and Araki ordered his forces to pursue.
• Araki’s Observation Haki tracked the retreating Blackbeard Pirates as they fought their way to the seaside.
• Sabo recognized Blackbeard as the man responsible for Ace’s capture, and Dragon agreed to help Wano by cutting off the pirates’ escape.

Araki and the tailed beasts overwhelmed Blackbeard’s crew with a towering wave and seven Tailed Beast Bombs. Blackbeard vanished in the blast, but Hack rescued the powerless pirate and brought him to Dragon.
