Background

Arthur was created by Uther Pendragon as an artificial Savior intended to surpass Artoria. His construction used a superior Heart of the Red Dragon, Dragon Factor, and a soul obtained from roughly fifteen hundred years in the future. Uther and Merlin also incorporated concepts including ambition, desire, military strategy, political strategy, capability, and justice. Arthur is conceptually part of the Pendragon family, but has no blood relation to Artoria. 51

He begins as Artorius II, Britannia’s crown prince and Artoria’s designated heir. Although praised for his talent in martial training, mathematics, administration, rhetoric, and literature, he privately conducts magical and technological research through a workshop connected to Merlin’s. 1 2 3

Arthur’s early goal is preventing Britannia’s destruction as Aether fades. Unlike Artoria’s attempt to preserve the old order, he advocates cooperation and intermarriage with the Saxons, Roman alignment, continental expansion, and ultimately the reconstruction of the Western Roman Empire. 7 8 9

Appearance

Arthur is introduced as a strikingly beautiful thirteen-year-old prince whose appearance is considered exceptional even by Britannian standards. After absorbing Vortigern’s power, his skin becomes fairer and his hair lightens toward snow white. 1 6 8

  • Recognized as a bishōnen throughout Britannia. 2 6
  • Possesses pale skin and increasingly light, nearly snow-white hair after his transformation. 8
  • Commonly presents himself in noble attire or military equipment appropriate to his position as prince, king, and commander. 20 38
  • Carries the visible presence of a dragon-blooded warrior and ruler when exerting his power. 8 26

Personality

Arthur is ambitious, pragmatic, and intensely future-oriented. He prefers shaping states, organizations, and armies over personal combat, finding satisfaction in making a country prosperous, building effective systems, and commanding invincible forces. 35

He is also charismatic and highly persuasive. His appeal differs from Artoria’s royal majesty: Arthur inspires followers by offering advancement, wealth, recognition, and a place in a larger undertaking regardless of their birth or background. 12 16

Despite his manipulative tendencies and willingness to use coercion, assassination, and political pressure, Arthur repeatedly frames his long-term ambition around saving humanity from decline, fate, and the Counter Force. He becomes increasingly willing to accept personal sacrifice for that objective. 49 55 60 163

Arthur can be playful, vain, and irreverent in private. He often jokes during dangerous situations, pursues women with calculated charm, and treats his extraordinary appeal as a practical political asset. 1 5 23

Abilities & Skills

  • Surpasses Vortigern’s frost in conceptual scale after Arthur inherits and upgrades the White Dragon’s authority. 20 23

Origin: Domination and Innovation

Arthur possesses two Origins; the named Origin awakened with Morgan’s aid is Domination and Innovation. Its conceptual scale is described as far beyond the Origins of ordinary magi. 57 61

  • Supports Arthur’s tendency to centralize authority, organize institutions, and innovate through magic and technology. 57 72
  • Underpins his development of a modern bureaucracy, magical research teams, factories, android officials, and the Imperial Throne. 67 72 172
  • Its second Origin is acknowledged but not named in the available material. 61

Charm and Discernment

Arthur’s beauty and social intuition are repeatedly presented as unusually effective tools in both personal and political dealings. 5 6 26

  • Holds Eternal Bishonen, Rank A++, and later gains Charming Bishounen, Rank A+++. 1 5
  • Can passively raise others’ favorability; the latter skill is also described as having an active charm effect. 5
  • Uses Discernment Eye (Female), Rank C to assess women such as Maeve. 1 26
  • Has leveraged charm to win cooperation from Vivian, Morgan le Fay, Mordred, and other influential figures. 5 6 23 57

  • Spreads darkness across the battlefield and summons shadow versions of his imperial forces. 107
  • Its complete deployment can cover up to three-quarters of Earth. 107
  • Summoned forces include Servant-like imperial knights, heavy infantry, and other military units. 107
  • Represents Arthur’s belief that an empire requires both public order and hidden power. 57 107
