Background
Jingxin, originally a transmigrator from another world, was reborn into the Uchiha clan as a contemporary of Sasuke Uchiha. Despite years of effort—including playing the role of a "good person" to convince Konoha's leadership of the First Hokage's viability—he failed to prevent the Uchiha clan massacre. On the night of the destruction, he confronted Itachi Uchiha using a Shadow Clone, debated the necessity of the slaughter, and then self-destructed the clone to destroy his hideout and kill Itachi's Crow Clone, while his real body escaped north. Obito Uchiha, watching from outside, discovered the deception via a hidden camera. Jingxin then fled Konoha and sought refuge in Iwagakure, presenting the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, with a detailed scroll of the Uchiha clan's downfall and his escape. Despite Ōnoki’s initial apprehension—rooted in a past encounter with Madara Uchiha—he was swayed by Jingxin’s chakra nature (Fire, Wind, Earth) that hinted at potential mastery of Dust Release. After a week of covert observation, the village leadership deemed Jingxin trustworthy. Ōnoki officially accepted him, granting a house, stipend, ninja supplies, and access to scrolls, and later crafted him a new identity, "Kintsuchi," to evade Konoha's search 1 6.
Over the following months and years, Jingxin dedicated himself to training, advancing his Sharingan to two tomoe, manifesting and mastering Dust Release, and learning sealing techniques from a researcher named Chinatsu. Ōnoki eventually formed Team Kintsuchi with Jingxin as captain and jonin instructor, alongside Kurotsuchi, Deidara, and Karin 4 23 26. At age twelve, Jingxin began executing strategic plans to benefit Iwagakure: he traveled to the Land of Waves, negotiated with Zabuza Momochi for Haku, and later participated in the Chunin Exams in Konoha—where Ino Yamanaka and Hinata Hyūga discovered he was still alive—and the subsequent Konoha Crush, during which he evacuated civilians 30 31 36 43. He also received the Uchiha clan's legacy from Konoha, including silver, ninjutsu scrolls, and a summoning scroll that allowed him to summon Miaozhu, an Uchiha-exclusive cat Summoning Beast 81. As he grew stronger, Jingxin sealed Yin-style Nine-Tails chakra with Karin’s sensory help and later met with Jiraiya and Tsunade in Amegakure, revealing his intention to eliminate those responsible for the Uchiha massacre, straining his relationship with the Hokage 57 62.
When the Ōtsutsuki Urashiki attacked Iwagakure seeking Nine-Tails chakra, Jingxin reported the threat and defended his new home. Urashiki eventually branded him with Karma, but Jingxin sealed the Ōtsutsuki’s soul and Karma. Urashiki’s final countermeasure separated Jingxin and his companions across parallel worlds and placed Jingxin in a white space for six years. Jingxin used this isolation to vastly develop his chakra, sensory ability, dōjutsu, sealing, taijutsu, Flying Thunder God Technique, Susanoo, and Dust Release 95 98 123 126.
After returning from the Space-Time Tunnel and reuniting with Kurotsuchi, Jingxin continued searching for his scattered companions. He brought Yakumo Kurama into Iwagakure, arranged treatment for her Kekkei Genkai illness, and later reunited with her after she had gathered Dragon Vein power in another world. He also rescued survivors from Mōryō’s threat across worlds, defeated Mōryō’s main body, and began preparing Iwagakure and its allies for the danger of Mōryō’s eventual resurrection 103 105 160 162 166. Following Ōnoki’s retirement, Jingxin became Iwagakure’s Fourth Tsuchikage and married Kurotsuchi. As Tsuchikage, he took responsibility for diplomacy, village administration, and the coming threat posed by an Ōtsutsuki God, forming temporary alliances with Madara Uchiha and the sealed Urashiki to obscure the latter’s karmic trail 170 172 187.

Abilities
Dust Release
Jingxin possesses the Kekkei Tōta Dust Release, a rare bloodline ability that combines Earth, Wind, and Fire chakra natures into a single, powerful technique. He mastered the prerequisites for this ability in just one month, far surpassing Ōnoki's initial estimate of at least half a year 12. After two months of focused training, he successfully manifested Dust Release and fully mastered it a month later, earning Ōnoki's praise and excitement 23. In battle, Jingxin uses Dust Release to devastating effect, such as deploying a massive Dust Release to contain the tailed beast Shukaku and destroy the Four Violet Flames Formation during the Konoha invasion 45. During his fight against the Ōtsutsuki Urashiki, he employed Dust Release offensively, injuring Urashiki who had underestimated its potency 96. He also developed increasingly advanced integrations of Dust Release with Sage Mode and Susanoo during his six years of isolated training 126.

Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan
Jingxin wields the Sharingan, a dōjutsu that grants enhanced perception, the ability to copy techniques, and heightened combat awareness. He demonstrated its strategic applications in a spar against the jōnin Akatsuchi 9, and later used it to provoke Sasuke Uchiha, ultimately helping Sasuke awaken his Three-Tomoe Sharingan 41 42. Jingxin later possessed the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and developed two unique Mangekyō abilities during his six years in the white space. His left eye ability, Aragami, reflects jutsu used against him back upon the caster. His right eye ability, Pseudo-Heaven-Supporting, freezes his own state and renders him immune to external alterations 125 126. He also used his Mangekyō to breach the powerful genjutsu barrier created by Yakumo Kurama's inner demon, Ido 101.

Recognizing sealing techniques as a way to address his weaknesses, Jingxin sought instruction from Chinatsu at Iwagakure's Research Department and learned the basics of the art 23. He later led a mission to retrieve the Uzumaki Secret Scroll and several sealing masks from the Land of Whirlpools, artifacts of immense sealing power 24. Applying his sealing knowledge, he successfully sealed a wisp of Yin‑style Nine‑Tails chakra within himself and experimented with cultivating it, using Karin's sensory abilities to monitor the process 57. Flying Thunder God Technique
Jingxin expressed a strong interest in learning the Flying Thunder God Technique, a space–time ninjutsu originally developed by the Second Hokage and perfected by Minato Namikaze. During the battle at the Konoha invasion, he sparred with the reanimated Minato specifically to study and attempt to acquire the technique on the spot 47. By the time of his six-year isolation, he was actively developing its use through sensory training, and later used Flying Thunder God markers for rapid travel and strategic deployment 125 126 172.

Sage Mode and Yin-Kurama Chakra
Jingxin learned Sage Mode through the Summoning Realm and trained to integrate natural energy with his existing techniques 85.
