Background / History

Lin was captured after slave traders attacked her home island, using the villagers' lives to lure her out. The captors massacred some villagers and sold the survivors into slavery, leaving Lin determined to find and rescue them. 26 33

She met Chen Qiang aboard the Defu Slave Ship while both were imprisoned. Lin informed him that the ship was bound for the Underground City; after Chen Qiang escaped confinement, he freed her Seastone shackles. When her explosive collar could not be unlocked, Lin tore it off herself and redirected the blast's damage through a prior contract. 21 23 24

After learning of her villagers' fate, Chen Qiang agreed to help her find them. The pair traced the Defu Slave Group to Copperfield, where Lin entered Toby's Playground while Chen Qiang fought Toby outside. 24 26 30

Inside the slave facility, Lin confronted the Defu crew and began eliminating them to force information from them. Her use of Life Deprivation rapidly strengthened her, but also made her increasingly comfortable with deciding who lived and died. 32 33

Sabo, Koala, and Matthew later helped Lin locate the imprisoned villagers. Lin used Barque as a guide, then killed him after he could no longer provide useful information. With the Revolutionary Army's copied keys, the group freed Lin's villagers and other captives. 36 37

When Sabo evacuated the rescued slaves from Copperfield, Lin refused to leave Chen Qiang behind. She chose to become his partner and remained with him while he destroyed the slave city. Before the final collapse, Chen Qiang entrusted her with a piece of his finger so he could regenerate beside her afterward. 42 43 49

Lin is a young woman whose small, childlike appearance initially causes Chen Qiang to mistake her for a little girl despite her being sixteen. 23 24

Personality

Lin is deeply attached to her fellow villagers and reacts strongly to the suffering of enslaved people. In Copperfield, she initially struggles to ignore captive slaves in order to prioritize finding her own village, ultimately trusting Chen Qiang's judgment and restraint. 24 26 32

Her captivity and memories of the village massacre harden her considerably. While initially uncomfortable with killing, she becomes ruthless toward the Defu Slave Group, showing no mercy to Barque or other slave traders once she concludes that sparing them could allow more villages to suffer the same fate. 33 37

Lin places immense trust in Chen Qiang after he rescues her. She accepts the danger of remaining at his side, citing their Symbiotic Contract and her desire to see the equal world he promises to create. 42 43
