"Senior Sister, I'm here."
The newcomer's voice rang out, clearly male. At first glance, he looked rather plump, but a closer look revealed that he was simply powerfully built.
"Fugui, you came at just the right time. Come help me out."
Very few people had the privilege of making him an assistant. She was one of them, after all—she was Zhu Zhuqing, Phantom Star's senior sister. Among the first generation of direct disciples, Cheng Fugui held the lowest rank. Of course, whenever he needed something, everyone answered his call.
"Sure, coming." Cheng Fugui tied on an apron and began helping out. Though he was the God of Cooking, Zhu Zhuqing was better suited to take charge on an occasion like this.
"Come to think of it, what have you been up to lately? You've been nowhere to be seen all day. I thought you'd gone missing." As Zhu Zhuqing prepared the ingredients, she casually asked him.
There was nothing Cheng Fugui could not answer about that, so he replied directly, "I've been traveling lately—visiting other worlds, gathering ingredients, and improving my cooking."
Come to think of it, he had even met his counterpart, the one called the Divine Chef, Xiao Fugui. When they realized it, they both exclaimed over how fate had brought them together, then immediately exchanged ideas and gained a great deal from it.
He had even visited Little Chef's world and the world of Food Wars! He could only say that the world was vast and full of wonders. Only after seeing it for himself did he understand how profound the culinary path truly was.
As Cheng Fugui worked as an assistant, he told them about those experiences as though they were stories.
"What about you, Senior Sister?"
"As usual, I've been stabilizing the world's reincarnation system.
