Laws and Administration

History

Dragon Clan Conflict

The God Realm and Dragon Realm once coexisted, with the ancient Dragon Realm initially stronger than the God Realm. After the Dragon God's fall, the Dragon Clan declined and the God Realm rose to prominence. 106

The God Realm fears the Dragon Clan's potential peak combat power and suppresses it accordingly. Gu Yuena identifies the possibility of several Dragon Kings emerging as a threat capable of rivaling the God Realm. 118

Soul Beasts have been subject to increasingly difficult heavenly tribulations, which the Snow Empress attributes to the God Realm. The realm's hostility toward Soul Beasts is widely recognized among powerful Soul Beasts. 202

Space-Time Turbulence

During a future Space-Time Turbulence crisis, the Goddess of Life and God King of Destruction exhausted most of their Origin Power to protect the God Realm. Their weakened state allowed their opposing powers to merge into creation, resulting in the birth of Gu Linyuan. 2 8

The two God Kings used the Space-Time Countercurrent to send their newborn son across time and dimensions to the era of Tang San's youth. 2

Emerging Succession Crisis

The Asura God considers Gu Linyuan's eventual rise as a sixth God King a threat to the God Realm's balance. He argues that Life, Destruction, and Gu Linyuan acting together would control half of an expanded six-member committee and weaken his role as arbiter. 127

Rather than kill Gu Linyuan and risk provoking Life and Destruction, the Asura God chooses to cultivate Tang San as a counterweight within the God Realm's future power structure. 127 128

Political Factions

• Life and Destruction faction — The Goddess of Life and God King of Destruction are a married pair. Their positions toward the Dragon Clan and Soul Beasts are described as less supportive of extreme suppression than those of other divine powers. 127
• Goodness and Evil faction — The Goddess of Goodness and God King of Evil form the other God King pair. Evil is described as comparatively ruthless and benefits from the rise of human emotional activity. 127
• Asura God — Officially the enforcer of balance, but his authority benefits from mediating between Destruction and Evil. Gu Linyuan's future presence threatens this arrangement. 127 128 159

Relations with the Lower Realms
