Background / History
Mishaer initially lived in Gnome Village with her brothers, William and Alos. She was bedridden, severely malnourished, and so frail that villagers doubted she would survive the winter or the journey to Mirabar. When William returned after being presumed dead, she recognized him immediately, embraced him in tears, and fell asleep safely in his arms. 2 3 4
William’s care rapidly changes her circumstances. He feeds her nourishing food, gives her warm bedding and animal furs, and presents her with the horned helmet later identified as the Horn of Kor. By winter, she is healthy enough to leave the house, play in the snow, and accompany her brothers on outings. 5 7 8 12
After William begins teaching both children, Mishaer undertakes basic martial-arts conditioning and grows stronger, quicker, and more self-assured. She later travels with William’s group to Mirabar, studies Common and Elvish, and joins several underground expeditions despite her limited combat experience. 16 25 32 39 48
Appearance
Mishaer is a small girl with fiery red curls and sea-blue eyes. At her first appearance, she is extremely pale and thin enough for her veins and bones to show beneath her skin; sustained food and warmth later leave her rosy-cheeked and noticeably healthier. 3 12 45

Despite being frightened by genuine danger, Mishaer is eager to participate in adventures and combat. She readily boasts about William’s exploits, wants to prove herself in battle, and refuses to surrender her treasured helmet even when confronted by adults seeking it. 21 37 39 44
