Background

Transmigration and training

Naruto was originally the King of Assassins from Blue Star. After being killed by a truck, he awakened in Naruto Uzumaki's body during the period of training under Jiraiya. His soul fusion repaired the body's weaknesses, brought out the Uzumaki constitution, awakened five chakra natures, and put the Nine-Tails into a three-year slumber. 1

Over the following three years, he mastered every technique Jiraiya taught him after a single attempt, surpassed Jiraiya's capabilities, and developed techniques of his own. He returned to Konoha as one of the ninja world's foremost fighters. 1

Return to Konoha and the fall of Root

Upon returning to Konoha, Naruto awakened the system by terrifying a child into catatonia and immediately began collecting Villain Points through intimidation and murder. He killed civilians and ninja who insulted him, openly rejecting Konoha's rules and its residents' attempts to justify their past abuse of him. 1 4 5

Danzō attempted to seize Naruto through Root. Naruto crushed Root's forces with thousands of Shadow Clones, exposed Danzō's stolen Sharingan and Uchiha arm, annihilated Root with a Five-Style Rasenshuriken, and personally killed Danzō before the Reverse Four-Symbols Sealing Technique could activate. 6 8 11 12

Tsunade and Jiraiya subsequently presented Naruto to the public as Konoha's “Anti-Corruption Hero” and revealed that he was the son of the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato. Naruto remained indifferent to the villagers' remorse. 13 14

Sunagakure mission

Naruto joined Kakashi and Sakura as Team 7 was dispatched to Sunagakure following Gaara's abduction by Akatsuki. He intimidated Chiyo, spared her because he wanted Sunagakure strong enough to revive and potentially recruit Gaara, and broke through Akatsuki's Five-Seal Barrier through brute force. 16 19 24
