A powerful blast of energy shot from Vegeta's finger, heading straight for Son Goku.
"Swish!"
What happened next stunned Vegeta.
Son Goku simply leaned to one side and dodged the blast.
In the next instant, Son Goku appeared behind Vegeta.
"What?" Vegeta was stunned.
What was going on?
How was he moving so fast?
His battle power was clearly only 100.
Vegeta reacted just as quickly, suddenly kicking backward at Son Goku.
"Swish!"
Son Goku easily dodged Vegeta's attack.
"Thwack!"
Son Goku swung a palm at him, striking Vegeta squarely.
With a dull thud, Vegeta was sent flying, his body slamming hard into the rocks behind him.
"Rumble!"
Vegeta flew into a rage and shot straight into the sky.
"Damn it! That despicable Kakarot must have realized my Scouter was malfunctioning, so he used his battle power to mess with my judgment!" Vegeta was so furious his nose seemed to twist out of shape.
"Crack!"
Vegeta immediately ripped the Scouter off his eye and crushed it to pieces.
"Disappear along with this planet!" Energy surged wildly around Vegeta as he aimed down at Son Goku.
Son Goku's expression changed.
This was bad!
I'm in trouble now!
Should I switch to Kaioken?
I still can't fire a Ki Blast while using Ultra Instinct!
Damn it!
That guy!
Forget it!
"Kaio-ken x3 Ki Blast!" Powerful energy gathered in Son Goku's hands.
"My Galick Gun is unstoppable! Die!" Vegeta roared, firing the Ki Blast in his hands toward Son Goku.
"Kamehameha!" Son Goku didn't hesitate. He released his Ki Blast and fired it into the sky.
"Rumble!"
The two blasts collided in midair, unleashing an incredibly powerful force.
"What? It's so similar to my Galick Gun?" Vegeta was taken aback, then gritted his teeth and poured in even more energy.
Son Goku was giving it everything he had, too.
Both of them poured every last bit of their strength into their attacks.
Son Goku was still a little weaker, and his Ki Blast gradually began to get pushed back.
"Four times!"
Son Goku gritted his teeth and unleashed Kaio-ken x4.
"Rumble!"
A tremendous burst of energy erupted from Son Goku.
In an instant, an immense shock wave shot straight up into the sky and swallowed Vegeta whole.
Vegeta was lucky enough to be caught on the very edge of the blast.
The Ki Blast carried him up into the sky, and he vanished in a flash.
"Huff, huff..."
Son Goku gasped for breath, his body utterly exhausted.
At the same time, he felt as though every bone in his body had come apart. He was in indescribable pain.
"This is bad... I pushed myself too hard. I can't use Ultra Instinct anymore... Sorry, Luo Tian." Son Goku gave a bitter smile.
"Did Goku win?" Bulma hurriedly asked Luo Tian.
"Not yet. Vegeta's still alive." Luo Tian shook his head.
"Huh? You're kidding! Even that didn't kill him? Is he immortal?" Bulma was utterly shocked.
"Come to think of it, Vegeta's been looking for me this whole time, hoping to make me work for him. I'm wondering if I should go over there and beat him up, then make him work for me instead..." Luo Tian rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought.
Bulma: "..."
"Let's talk about it later." Luo Tian smiled.
At the battlefield.
"Awesome, Goku! Great job!" Yajirobe said happily as he hurried over to Son Goku's side.
"Yajirobe? What are you doing here?" Son Goku was taken aback.
"Didn't you notice?" Yajirobe grinned. "You were fighting that guy just now, so it's only natural you didn't notice me. Still, I can't believe you managed to drive off someone that powerful. That's amazing."
As he spoke, Yajirobe stepped forward and patted Son Goku on the back.
"Ah..." Son Goku cried out in pain.
"What's wrong?" Yajirobe asked.
"I used a technique my body couldn't handle," Son Goku said weakly.
"Oh? So it wasn't an ordinary fighting technique." Yajirobe pondered this.
"Listen, Yajirobe, you'd better get out of here quickly," Son Goku said with a bitter smile.
"What do you mean?" Yajirobe's expression changed. "Could it be... that guy..."
"Yeah, he's still alive. If it were that easy to kill him, I wouldn't have had to go to all that trouble." Son Goku smiled.
"But it's fine, right? You're much stronger than him." Yajirobe gave an awkward grin.
"I already told you. My body can't take any more. That last attack was probably my limit." Son Goku looked up at the sky.
"Is that so?" Yajirobe felt awful. He hurriedly waved to Son Goku. "Well, I'll be off. I've got something to take care of."
Yajirobe turned and ran off at once.
High above.
Son Goku's Ki Blast pushed Vegeta above the clouds.
Vegeta fought with all his might and finally managed to break free of the Ki Blast.
The veins on Vegeta's forehead bulged, and his face was filled with boundless fury.
"That bastard!" Vegeta roared. "Why is Kakarot's battle power higher than mine? I'm the strongest Saiyan warrior! I'll never lose to a low-class warrior!"
Just you wait, Kakarot.
I'll turn into a Great Ape and show you what true despair feels like.
As he spoke, Vegeta searched all around for the moon.
But after looking everywhere, he couldn't find it.
This is unbelievable. I even chose a full-moon night to arrive, so I could wipe out everyone on this planet as quickly as possible.
To defeat Kakarot, I have to transform into a Great Ape.
This is infuriating! Where's the moon?
"Hahaha! Give it up, Saiyan. The moon's been gone for ages," King Kai laughed. "Piccolo already destroyed it."
Still, King Kai was a little puzzled.
Goku's ki had suddenly vanished just now, but his strength had suddenly increased by quite a bit.

"By the way, where is the moon? I'd forgotten about it. I haven't seen it in a while." Bulma looked around for it, too.
"Piccolo destroyed the moon. There's no need to look for it." Luo Tian replied.
"The moon's gone?" Bulma wiped the sweat from her brow. "What did our Earth's moon do to deserve this? Master Roshi destroyed it once a long time ago, and now it's been destroyed again..."
The sky gradually darkened.
It was nearly dusk.
Son Goku simply kept looking up at the sky.
What's Vegeta doing up there?
Why isn't he coming down?

Kakarot must have destroyed the moon beforehand.

"The moon? I have no idea what you're talking about." Son Goku looked utterly baffled.
"Hmph, stop pretending!" Vegeta said coldly. "Let me tell you the secret behind why we transform when we see a full moon."
"Transform? What do you mean?" Son Goku was taken aback.
"You know moonlight is sunlight reflected off the moon, right? When sunlight hits the moon, it gives off a kind of electromagnetic wave. During a full moon, that wave reaches 17 million hertz," Vegeta explained. "When the eyes absorb electromagnetic waves of 17 million hertz or more, they stimulate the tail, triggering a transformation."
Son Goku: "..."
What are you talking about? I don't understand any of this.
What's an electromagnetic wave?

"Every planet in the universe has moons orbiting it, no matter their size, but only a full moon can emit electromagnetic waves exceeding 17 million hertz," Vegeta continued. "But only Saiyans can create an artificial moon that emits over 17 million hertz. All you have to do is mix the oxygen on this planet into this ball of energy."
As he spoke, a glittering golden energy sphere suddenly appeared in Vegeta's hand.
"Sorry for the wait, Kakarot. Your time has come." Vegeta panted.
Creating the Artificial Moon had cost him a great deal of energy.
"As an elite warrior, I shouldn't have to fight a low-class warrior like you. It's beneath me," Vegeta said with a smile. "You should feel honored."
