Background / History
Tang Hao is a former member of the Clear Sky Sect and the father of Tang San. His reputation as the Clear Sky Douluo once resounded across the continent, and he was regarded as the youngest Title Douluo by Yu Tianheng and others. His martial soul is the Clear Sky Hammer, and he possesses nine spirit rings, including a hundred-thousand-year ring. 172 194
He married Ah Yin, a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast in human form and the Blue Silver Emperor. In the years after her sacrifice, Tang Hao periodically visited the cave where her Blue Silver Grass form remained, displaying intense grief over her deteriorated condition. Ah Yin, secretly present in the cave, was initially swayed by this apparent remorse. 47
According to the exposed account of the past, Tang Hao deliberately arranged an “accidental” encounter with Qian Xunji in order to scheme for Ah Yin's spirit ring and spirit bone. Qian Xunji subsequently discovered Ah Yin and initiated the pursuit. Tang Hao ultimately gained a hundred-thousand-year spirit ring and spirit bone, while blame fell upon Martial Soul Hall. 178
The Clear Sky Sect was framed and suffered the consequences of the resulting conflict. Tang Hao was later expelled from the sect; he tells Tang Yuehua that he was framed, while the sect's Elder Hall eventually concludes that he brought disaster upon the sect for his own benefit. 181 214 He nevertheless hopes to return one day by raising Tang San into an outstanding successor. 185 205
After the truth of the incident became public, the Clear Sky Sect issued a Kill Order against him. The Four Great Clans, whose members suffered heavily because of his scheme, also turned against him and began actively seeking his death. 215 365 366
Personality
Tang Hao is intensely protective of Tang San. Upon discovering that Tang San's hands had been crippled, he immediately sought a means to heal him, ultimately giving him the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone. He supports Tang San's forging of hidden weapons and repeatedly promises to create opportunities for his son to become a top-tier powerhouse. 125 169 170 305
He is also portrayed as prideful, self-righteous, and highly utilitarian. He expects the Four Great Clans to resume their loyalty despite their losses, intending to use their resources to cultivate Tang San. When they confront him with the truth, he admits to framing the Clear Sky Sect and considers killing everyone present to bury the secret. 185 194 196
- He regards Tang San's success as both a path to revenge against Martial Soul Hall and an offering to the Clear Sky Sect. 169 185
- He prioritizes Tang San's cultivation resources, expecting others in his group to follow his orders. 251 305 306
- He avoids confronting Martial Soul Hall directly when badly injured, recognizing that he cannot defeat its current Title Douluos. 206
- He remains willing to rob or kill for resources, attempting to lure Ye Mu into his cave and seize his supplies after discovering his presence in the Blue Silver Grass Territory. 316
- Despite considering Yu Xiaogang a burden, he continues to protect and transport him because he believes the former teacher still has value to Tang San. 365
- His protective instincts can override caution; when Meng Yiran severely beats Tang San, Tang Hao immediately intervenes despite his damaged martial soul and the danger of exposing himself. 340
Abilities & Skills
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Hao's tool martial soul is the Clear Sky Hammer, which he considers the world's strongest tool martial soul.
- Manifests with nine spirit rings, including a hundred-thousand-year ring. 194
- Its blows can destroy large numbers of Blue Silver Emperor vines at once. 198
- The martial soul was shattered during his battle against Liu Erlong and Ah Yin, leaving him unable to use soul skills until it re-condensed. 202 228
- Liu Erlong's Sun God Dragon martial soul withstood the hammer directly and overwhelmed Tang Hao in close combat. 198
- After partially re-condensing, the hammer remained incomplete and was directly caught by Ye Mu's Ancestral Dragon martial soul during Tang Hao's attempted ambush. 316
- He forcibly summoned the incomplete hammer again while trapped by Meng Yiran and Huo Wu, but the ensuing Ring Detonation severely damaged it anew. 340 341
Title Douluo Pressure
At his peak, Tang Hao can release overwhelming soul-power pressure.
- As a level-95 Title Douluo, his pressure made representatives of the Four Great Clans struggle to breathe. 196
- His reputation alone was sufficient to frighten pursuers during his escape with Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. 327
- His pressure was blocked by Liu Erlong and Ah Yin, both empowered Title Douluos. 196
Great Sumeru Hammer
Tang Hao employs the Great Sumeru Hammer in battle.
- He used it against Liu Erlong during the Strength Clan confrontation.
- It failed to overcome her Sun God Dragon martial soul. 198
Ring Detonation
Tang Hao can detonate a spirit ring to unleash a powerful attack and escape.
- He used Ring Detonation while cornered by Liu Erlong and Ah Yin. 200
- The attack was defended against by the opposing group, allowing Tang Hao to flee. 200
- Detonating the ring compounded his injuries and contributed to his steep loss of power. 202
- He used Ring Detonation a second time after Meng Yiran trapped him in a Heavy Silver cage and Huo Wu's Soul Tools suppressed him, allowing himself and his companions to escape. 340
- This second use further damaged his already incomplete Clear Sky Hammer and endangered any future return to the Title Douluo realm. 340 341
Divine Slaughter's Domain
Tang Hao can activate the Divine Slaughter's Domain in combat.
- He activated the domain in fury when intervening against Meng Yiran after she brutally beat Tang San. 340
- Ah Yin's evolved Blue Silver Emperor Domain could negate the negative effects of his Slaughter God's Domain during their earlier battle. 197
Soul-Power Constructs
After Qian Renxue broke his legs, Tang Hao used soul power to simulate replacement legs.
- Allows him to walk without a wheelchair despite having severed legs.
- The constructs are less agile than real legs and require sustained soul-power expenditure. 251 305
- He continued to rely on the constructs while fleeing through the Star Dou Great Forest and traveling toward Slaughter City. 324 365
