Ye Mu resides in Heaven Dou City and regularly stays at the Moonlight Pavilion, where Tang Yuehua retains his patronage through its food and chefs. His primary interest is fine cuisine; he is notably indifferent to political power, factional disputes, and the Sky Screen’s rewards. 1 31 33

He arrived in Heaven Dou City several years before the Sky Screen’s descent, saved Xue Ke by chance, and became the “Teacher Ye” she relies upon. He has remained at Moonlight Pavilion for five years, while even the Heaven Dou Imperial Family’s investigations have failed to uncover his origins. 1

He became Xue Ke’s teacher and protector. Although he initially avoids involvement in the Heaven Dou Empire’s affairs, he agrees to treat Emperor Xue Ye after Xue Ke asks him for help. He cures the emperor’s poison with a gesture and attends the imperial banquet chiefly for its food. 1 35 36
