Gu Chundong is Gu Mo's biological younger sister. Before Gu Mo became a Blade Catcher, she accepted his plan to settle in Linjiang City, offering to become a martial-arts instructor if necessary while supporting their livelihood and training. When he chose bounty hunting instead, she agreed to guide him and collect the criminals' heads while he handled the fighting 2 268.

She remained beside Gu Mo after he lost his sight, helping him navigate, manage his schedule, cook, and practice martial arts. Her familiarity with his routines allowed them to balance bounty work with his intensive training, while Gu Mo personally corrected flaws in her saber forms that she could not perceive herself 1 7 299.
