Kakkō had thought his attack had landed, but suddenly realized that the Obito Uchiha before him had turned into a wooden log.

"Did you really think I was stupid, Obito? I prepared a Substitution Technique a long time ago, just waiting for you to show yourself."

"Now it's my turn to attack."

Obito's Sharingan had already locked onto Kakkō. He thrust the kunai in his hand toward Kakkō's vitals.

"Ah, no!"

Unexpectedly, Kakkō grabbed Rin Nohara and pulled her in front of himself.

Seeing this, Obito hurriedly checked his attack and caught Rin Nohara as she began to fall.

"Rin, a-are you okay?"

It was his first time being so close to his beloved. Obito's Sharingan spun rapidly again, and his face turned beet red.
