"You don't need to know who I am!"
When the Anbu suddenly realized Uchiha Yue had seen through his identity, his pupils contracted. He said coldly, "I only want to know if you were the one who spent a long time talking with Minato Namikaze at the teahouse earlier."
"Hm?"
At the mention of Minato Namikaze, Uchiha Yue furrowed his brows. Could the Anbu have come looking for me because of the future Fourth Hokage?
At the thought, Uchiha Yue nodded instinctively. When the Anbu saw him nod, anger flared in his eyes.
"Then you're the one I'm looking for!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Anbu charged at Uchiha Yue, Kunai aimed at his throat.
Seeing that the Anbu showed no intention of holding back, Uchiha Yue's confusion only deepened.
After all, Uchiha Yue was Tsunade's disciple. With her reputation as one of the Sannin, who would dare cause him trouble in Konoha?
Even if Uchiha Yue had somehow been dragged into trouble because of Minato Namikaze, the other man still had no reason to attack him without restraint!
But as the Anbu closed in, Uchiha Yue knew that if he didn't fight back, he might really be killed. So, just as the Anbu reached him, Uchiha Yue controlled his immense mental energy and began sensing the man's attack patterns.
To his surprise, the moment Uchiha Yue extended his mental energy, it met a powerful obstruction!
"Damn, this guy's a sensor-type ninja too!"
"His mental energy... can actually block mine!"
Realizing his mental energy had been obstructed, Uchiha Yue's eyes turned grave. Without hesitation, he began forming Hand Seals.
"Falling Moon Style: Afterimage Fist!"
Because the Anbu was attacking so quickly, Uchiha Yue had no choice but to use his own Falling Moon Style: Afterimage Fist to dodge. Unfortunately, the Anbu seemed to know his fighting style well. The instant Uchiha Yue used the technique to evade, the Anbu sensed where his real body was.
"Whoosh..."
The Anbu hurled the Kunai in his hand. He didn't fall for Uchiha Yue's trick and attack one of his two afterimages. Instead, he aimed straight for Uchiha Yue's real body.
But as the Kunai cut through the air toward him, Uchiha Yue simply extended a finger!
In the next instant...
The Kunai that had been thrown at Uchiha Yue suddenly changed direction and shot back toward the Anbu!
"Falling Moon Style: Kunai Manipulation Technique!"
That's right—Uchiha Yue had used his Chakra to form Chakra Threads and seize control of the other man's Kunai. That was how the weapon, originally flying toward Uchiha Yue, had changed direction in midair. When Uchiha Yue took control of the Kunai with his Chakra Threads, a look of shock flashed through the Anbu's eyes. Clearly, he hadn't expected Uchiha Yue to have so many tricks.
Even more surprising was how strong Uchiha Yue's Chakra control was. It was far beyond what a Genin should be capable of!
Still, dodging the Kunai was easy. After avoiding the incoming weapon, the Anbu was already in front of Uchiha Yue. There was no doubt that he had plenty of combat experience. After only a few exchanges, he had figured out Uchiha Yue's fighting style and found his weakness.
Most of Uchiha Yue's demonstrated strength lay in his projectiles and ninjutsu. His Taijutsu was his weak point. If the Anbu could get close, he was ninety percent certain he could subdue him. Uchiha Yue had no confidence in winning against such a terrifying opponent—and now the man had already identified his weakness.
But Uchiha Yue wasn't the sort to give up easily. As the Anbu closed in, he simply clenched his fists.
"So what if you're Anbu?"
"I, Uchiha Yue, will never lose!"
With that thought flashing through his mind, Uchiha Yue showed no fear as the Anbu came at him. In fact, just as the man reached him, Uchiha Yue nimbly ducked beneath his punch and jabbed a finger into his chest!
"Hm?"
At first, the Anbu didn't notice anything when Uchiha Yue's finger struck his chest. Then a look of surprise flashed through his eyes again!
As it turned out, when Uchiha Yue jabbed the Anbu in the chest, he was using the new kind of Taijutsu he had begun researching just yesterday.
It was a point-striking technique he had developed by combining the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist with his own ideas!
The technique was still in its early stages of development, but Uchiha Yue had used it without hesitation to defeat the Anbu before him. When he jabbed the man's chest, he had spent a great deal of mental energy sensing his attack patterns and carefully watching his every move, all to make sure he could strike the right spot in one go.
As luck would have it, the moment Uchiha Yue's finger hit the man's chest, it stopped the flow of Chakra inside him!
But when Uchiha Yue's finger touched his opponent's chest, he felt an extremely soft sensation beneath his fingertip, and his expression shifted slightly.
Only then did Uchiha Yue realize that the Anbu before him was a woman!
The Anbu, however, showed no sign of being affected—or perhaps she had no time to be upset about Uchiha Yue groping her chest.
When she suddenly felt the flow of Chakra inside her stop, her eyes filled with shock.
Even after Uchiha Yue's attack succeeded and he had put some distance between them, the Anbu stared at him again and murmured, "Th-this is impossible! You're from the Uchiha Clan, but you can use the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist?"
"Who told you I was using Gentle Fist?"
Seeing her stunned expression, Uchiha Yue was very pleased with his new technique. He replied confidently, "The Uchiha Clan is one of Konoha's prestigious clans. Why would we steal the Hyuga Clan's techniques? Besides, how could the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist compare to the technique I created? Remember this: what I just used wasn't the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist. It was a new Taijutsu I developed!"
