Though he had not slaughtered the entire clan as he had in Sasuke's own era, he had still killed more than half its members and wiped out the entire police force.
But with Itachi standing before him now, Young Sasuke began to wonder whether the information he had received was true. Itachi seemed to see right through him and smiled. "Heh, Sasuke, there's no need to doubt it. I am the Itachi you know, and I really did come close to wiping the Uchiha Clan from this world. But because of Naruto and this era's Sasuke, I ended up not doing it. Dad and Mom are both doing well, too. Now, let's go home."
Hearing that his parents were still alive, Young Sasuke froze again. "Why?"
"Why?" Itachi said with a smile. "Because Naruto and this era's Sasuke changed Dad, too. Dad never wanted to rebel in the first place. In the end, he finally made his decision to eliminate everyone who wanted to rebel and preserve the village's peace. That meant I no longer had to wipe out the entire Uchiha Clan. But someone had to take responsibility for it, and that was why I left the village. I only returned recently, thanks to Naruto."
