After Naruto and the others returned to the village, Sasuke took Sarada home, while Kakashi went to report the details of the mission to Tsunade. Naruto took Young Naruto and Boruto home with him. When they arrived, Kushina was preparing dinner. Naruto greeted her, and she stepped out of the kitchen. "Go wash your hands. We'll eat once your father gets home. Oh? You brought a friend?" she asked, pausing in surprise when she saw Young Naruto.
Young Naruto was clearly thrilled to see Kushina, but he no longer rushed over to hug her as he would have in his younger days. Naruto grinned mischievously. "Hehe, Mom, guess who he is."
Kushina glanced suspiciously at Naruto, then at Young Naruto. Suddenly, she exclaimed, "You... don't tell me you're Naruto all grown up!"
Naruto laughed. "Hehe, you guessed right, Mom. He's the grown-up me, and Boruto's dad from his time. He came to this era too."
Kushina beamed. "Really? Yes, he looks so much like you, Naruto. So handsome! Just what I'd expect from my and Minato's son. Yes, very nice."
Naruto could hardly take it anymore. "Mom, aren't you being a little... you know, a little too full of yourself? Your son really is handsome, but we have to be humble. Humble, Mom! Do you understand?"
"No, I don't. And now you're lecturing your mother? You really have no respect for your elders," Kushina said, giving Naruto a rap on the head. He clutched his head in pain and loudly accused her of abusing a minor.
Watching Naruto and Kushina interact, Young Naruto began to feel envious. As though she had seen right through him, Kushina walked over and rapped him on the head too. Just like Naruto, he immediately cried out in pain.
Kushina pretended to be angry. "Hmph!
