Emotion Amplifier

Kurama said, "What's wrong with you? You're acting strange today. You've never been this irritable before. Sense your surroundings and see what you're like right now."

Naruto sensed the area around him and was immediately shocked by his own behavior. He could sense the fear his friends felt toward him. Recalling his battle with Orochimaru, he suddenly panicked.

Naruto murmured fearfully, "I think I lost control of my emotions. What's going on? I almost hurt Hinata and Shikamaru. What's wrong with me?"

Kurama snorted. "Hmph. You know what you just did now, don't you? What an idiot."

Then Good Naruto's voice sounded in Naruto's mind. "You're finally awake."

Naruto immediately entered Mental Space and asked, "You know why I lost control of my emotions, don't you?"

Good Naruto replied, "That's right, I know. You should know why, too."

Naruto seemed to realize something. "Could my loss of control have something to do with you two?"

Good Naruto nodded. "That's right. Your emotions are complete now, so a momentary surge of feeling can affect your judgment."

Naruto replied, "Then why didn't this happen before?"

Good Naruto looked at Naruto like he was an idiot. "Are you stupid? Before, you sealed me and this guy away, so your seven emotions and six desires were incomplete. Now that we're out, your emotions and desires are complete again. Of course things are different."

Dark Naruto said flatly, "Idiot." The two of them looked at Naruto like he was an idiot, and he felt thoroughly wounded. But there was nothing he could do to them. On the contrary, he needed their help to deal with his loss of emotional control.

He could only swallow his frustration and ask, "Is there any way to fix this?"

Dark Naruto said, "Why fix it? Isn't it better to be your true self? Why suppress your emotions?"

Naruto automatically ignored Dark Naruto's words, thinking, That guy wants me to lose control. Ignore him, ignore him.

He looked pleadingly at Good Naruto. Good Naruto smiled. "There's no way to fix it. We can only do our best to help you control your emotions. In the end, it's up to you."

Naruto asked in confusion, "It's up to me? Tell me what to do."

Good Naruto replied, "You have to control your emotions yourself and try not to let them sway you. Just like it says in the I Ching from your past life: 'As Heaven's movement is ever vigorous, so must a gentleman ceaselessly strive for self-improvement; as the Earth is broad and receptive, so must a gentleman embrace all with virtue.' So, in the end, you have to rely on yourself." Naruto understood that he would have to handle this himself.

Naruto said to Good Naruto, "I understand. I'll do my best to try, and I'm sorry to trouble you both. Please do your best to help me, too."

Good Naruto smiled. "We will. Go on. I'm sure your friends are worried about you." Naruto nodded, then left Mental Space.

Dark Naruto said to Good Naruto, "He wants to evolve his Sharingan, and he has to be swayed by his emotions to evolve into the Rinnegan faster. So why tell him to control himself? Don't you want him to have the Rinnegan?"

Good Naruto smiled. "Of course I want him to get the Rinnegan as soon as possible, but I can't let him sink into evil, either."

Dark Naruto asked, confused, "Sink into evil? What do you mean?"

Good Naruto replied, "Although we're his personalities and embodiments of his emotions, we can't control his thoughts. If he loses control, even you and I might be swallowed by his darkness."

Dark Naruto exclaimed, "Swallowed by him? How is that possible?"

Good Naruto replied calmly, "Have you forgotten? He was able to reincarnate only after devouring the souls of Otsutsuki Koshiki and Asura."

Dark Naruto was astonished. "Could it be...? Is he..."

Good Naruto answered, "That's right. It's exactly what you're thinking, but he doesn't know it himself. So you can't pull him into your hatred."

Dark Naruto said helplessly, "But if he comes in on his own, what can I do?"

Good Naruto replied, "That's why we have to do our best to help him control his emotions."

Dark Naruto said impatiently, "Fine, I'll do what you say. I'm leaving."

After Dark Naruto disappeared, Good Naruto sighed. "What a pain." Then he disappeared, too.

Kurama saw Naruto staring blankly in the middle of their conversation and knew he had entered the depths of his mind. Even Kurama couldn't enter that place, so he could only wait for Naruto to wake up.

Fortunately, it only took a moment. Kurama didn't have to wait long before Naruto came to and said, "Kurama, I know why I lost control of my emotions. It's because of my two personalities."

Kurama was surprised. "It was because of those two? What's going on? Explain it to me."

After Naruto told Kurama about his conversation with Good Naruto, Kurama said, "So, after you broke their Sealings, your emotions were amplified?"

Naruto nodded. "Yeah. They're like emotion amplifiers. They magnify my feelings and make it hard for me to control them."

Kurama replied, "Is there any way to fix it?"

Naruto said helplessly, "No. I can only do my best to control my emotions. But it's really hard."

Kurama sympathized. "It is hard. I often can't control myself, either. But I believe you can do it. You're the one the old man spoke of, so you have to believe in yourself."

Naruto replied confidently, "Of course. I can definitely do it, and I'll bring peace to this world, too. I believe I can."

Kurama replied, "Yeah, I believe in you. Now go check on Sasuke."

Naruto nodded, ended Nine-Tails Mode, and went to his friends. "I'm sorry I dragged you into this. It's my fault for not controlling myself."

Shikamaru smiled. "It's fine. Everyone loses control of their emotions sometimes, and you were doing it for your friends. Just don't do it again. If it happens one more time, I don't know if I'll survive."

Naruto apologized. "I promise I'll do my best to control my emotions from now on." The others smiled and forgave him, too.

Gaara walked over, visibly agitated. "Why do you have friends? Why do you have friends? How can people like us have friends?"

Naruto looked at Gaara. "Why can't we have friends? If we open our hearts, we can have friends just like anyone else. I have them, and you can, too."

Gaara remembered Yashamaru and cried out in anguish, "No! We're monsters. We can't have friends! Ah..." He clutched his head and howled in pain.

Temari and Kankuro were extremely worried that Gaara would go berserk. They were tense, while the other rookies, except Neji's team and Shikamaru, watched Gaara fearfully.

Gaara raved, "Impossible! Impossible! I'll kill you! I'll kill you! Just you wait!" Then he ran off like a madman. Temari and Kankuro hurried after him.

Naruto watched Gaara leave and shook his head helplessly. Hinata took his hand and said, "Naruto-kun, don't go near him. He's terrifying."

Naruto looked at Hinata in confusion. "What's wrong, Hinata? You seem scared. What happened to Gaara?"

Kiba said, "Naruto, we saw him when we first entered the Forest of Death. He's terrifying. He killed everyone he came across, and he did it brutally."

After learning the reason, Naruto smiled at Hinata. "It's okay, Hinata. He can't hurt me. He's actually really pitiful. If I hadn't known you and Sasuke since childhood, I might have turned out just like him."

Naruto smiled and hugged Hinata. After kissing her on the forehead, he said, "All right, I'm going to check on Sasuke." Hinata blushed at being kissed by Naruto in front of so many people and lowered her head, playing with her fingers.

Naruto went to Sakura and said, "Sakura, let me see how Sasuke's doing."

Sakura looked at Naruto sadly. "Naruto, you have to save him."

Naruto smiled. "I will. Sasuke will be fine. He's my best friend, so don't worry."

Naruto looked at the Cursed Seal on Sasuke's neck and asked Kurama, "Kurama, is there any way to remove the Cursed Seal on Sasuke?"

Kurama sensed Sasuke's Cursed Seal and said, "This is a kind of Senjutsu Chakra, but it's different from normal Senjutsu Chakra. This chakra is filled with darkness. I can also sense a consciousness inside the seal. It must belong to that man Orochimaru."

Naruto replied, "Then how do we remove it?"

Kurama said, "No rush. First I'll pull out the consciousness inside Sasuke. Naruto, let me take over."

Naruto replied, "Okay."

Sakura asked, "Naruto, can you do it?" The others also watched Naruto with concern.

After Kurama and Naruto switched control of the body, Kurama said, "First, I'll pull out the consciousness inside Sasuke."

Everyone was surprised by Naruto's change. Only Hinata recognized him. "You're Kurama."

Everyone asked in confusion, "Kurama?"

Hinata explained, "He's the Nine-Tails sealed inside Naruto-kun." Only then did everyone realize the person in front of them wasn't Naruto, but Kurama.

Kurama said to Hinata, "You're a clever girl from the Hyuga Clan. No wonder that big idiot Naruto likes you." After Kurama said that, Hinata blushed and lowered her head to play with her fingers again.

Kurama placed his hand on Sasuke's Cursed Seal, and his chakra invaded Sasuke's body. Before long, Sasuke let out a scream.

Everyone anxiously crowded around to see how Sasuke was doing. Then they saw Kurama pull his hand away from Sasuke's neck, though the chakra from his hand remained connected to Sasuke's body. As Kurama tugged, a small white snake was pulled out by his chakra.
