Kai Jin brought Naruto over for a closer look at the Fūjin Sword and the Thunder God Sword. Both swords had changed. In the past, they had constantly emitted lightning release and wind release chakra, even when they were not in use. Now, however, that was no longer happening.
Looking at the gleaming blades, Naruto said in wonder, "So these are the actual blades of the Thunder God Sword and the Fūjin Sword? This is my first time seeing their true forms. They aren't giving off lightning release chakra or wind release chakra anymore, but they feel even more oppressive."
Sasuke nodded. "Yes. The Fūjin Sword and the Thunder God Sword feel much stronger now, and so do their auras. Their auras are at least ten times stronger than before."
Kai Jin chuckled. "You two... If I hadn't examined these divine artifacts carefully, I never would have known that their weapon spirits had suffered serious injuries and fallen into a deep sleep. With their sword spirits asleep and their blades damaged, the artifacts were constantly losing energy. That's why you kept seeing them emit energy. Fortunately, divine artifacts can absorb energy on their own, or these two would have turned into scrap metal long ago. Even with that ability, though, they were losing more than they took in, so they remained weakened."
At Kai Jin's words, Naruto and Sasuke immediately grew anxious. Naruto hurriedly asked, "Then what condition are the Thunder God Sword and the Fūjin Sword in now?"
Kai Jin smiled. "Don't worry. I've repaired all the damage to these two divine artifacts. Not only that, I used the Nine-Flame Divine Cauldron to reverse the changes to their essence. All their injuries are fully healed now, and they won't leak energy anymore. But..."
Naruto asked nervously, "But?"
Kai
