Minato knocked on the door, then opened it and brought Hanabi inside. Kushina was still busy in the kitchen. Hearing them, she called out, "You're back! Dinner's almost ready. Is Naruto home yet?"
"Not yet," Minato replied. "Oh, Kushina, we have a guest this afternoon. Make some extra food."
Kushina came out of the kitchen, asking as she walked, "Who's here? Kakashi?"
When Kushina emerged and saw Hanabi behind Minato, looking around the house curiously, she said in surprise, "You little Hyuga girl. What are you doing in my house?"
Kushina and Hanabi had met a few times before, and Hanabi had left a terrible impression on her. She was a spoiled, willful young lady who often bullied her Naruto.
Hanabi had an equally poor impression of Kushina. She was violent, uncivilized, and horribly hot-tempered-the exact opposite of Hanabi's sister. For Hanabi, who was used to everyone catering to her, Kushina was a formidable adversary. Kushina refused to indulge her, and had even strung her up with Adamantine Sealing Chains the first time they met.
"If Lord Fourth Hokage hadn't invited me, I wouldn't have come," Hanabi replied. "Who wants to be under the same roof as an old hag like you?"
A vein immediately bulged on Kushina's forehead. "Who are you calling an old hag?" she snapped.
Ignoring Kushina's anger, Hanabi said, "You're clearly in your forties, but you walk around in the body of a woman in her twenties. If that doesn't make you an old hag, what does?"
"You must have a death wish," Kushina said coldly.
Fire blazed in Hanabi's eyes. "What, are you going to hit me? Go ahead if you've got the guts! You think I'm afraid of you?"
Seeing the two ready to tear into each other, Minato had no choice but to
