Background / History

Tang Hao and his brother Tang Xiao met the transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year soul beast Blue Silver Emperor Ah Yin while training outside the Clear Sky Sect. Both brothers fell for her, but Ah Yin chose Tang Hao. After Spirit Hall exposed her identity, Tang Hao and Ah Yin were hunted by three Titled Douluo and numerous other Soul Masters. The Light Screen's account states that Ah Yin sacrificed herself to Tang Hao, granting him a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring and allowing him to defeat the pursuing forces alone. 97

He is the father of Tang San, whose Twin Martial Souls and future conflict with Spirit Hall prompt Tang Hao to seek him out and bring him under the Clear Sky Sect's protection. Though Tang Hao initially doubts whether Tang San is truly his son after learning of his past life, he ultimately accepts him completely, valuing their blood relation and Tang San's inheritance of the Clear Sky Hammer. 17 40 41

When the Heavenly Ranking reveals that Tang Chen will be killed by the code-named Asura King, Tang Hao vows to rescue or avenge his grandfather. He waits outside the City of Slaughter after Tang Chen receives the Sublimation opportunity, then reunites with him and returns to the Clear Sky Sect. 6 11 13

During the later Spirit Hall encirclement, Tang Hao attempts to flee with Ah Yin and clashes with Qian Renxue. Ah Yin tries to sacrifice herself to become his ninth ring, but Lu Chen suppresses her before she can do so. Lu Chen then immobilizes Tang Hao and destroys his dantian; Qian Renxue kills him immediately afterward to avenge Qian Xunji. 228 229 231

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of his family. He leaves to retrieve Tang San as soon as he learns Spirit Hall may target him, and he remains devoted to Ah Yin while fleeing Spirit Hall's pursuit. 17 228

He is intensely filial and vengeful toward threats to Tang Chen. After learning of Tang Chen's supposed future death, he commits himself to hunting the Asura King and making him suffer. 6 13

Tang Hao is also proud of his strength and lineage. He takes great pride in Tang San's achievements, especially after learning his son can severely injure a god through Tang Sect hidden weapons. 41
