Background / History

Gu Yue is the beastly side of the Silver Dragon King. The Silver Dragon King inherited the attributes of earth, water, fire, wind, light, darkness, space, and spirit, but had sealed away cultivation, memories, and part of her power before Gu Yue's early encounters with Long Zijin. 2 3

At some point, she separated her human side, Na'er, from herself along with one-third of her body and power. The separation also left the Amethyst Pupils and Silver Dragon Spear absent from Gu Yue's body. 55

Her judgment is affected by “thought interference” from the Lord of the Plane, which suppressed the Silver Dragon King's intelligence and drove her into a split personality after she emerged from the Lake of Life. 124

Gu Yue commonly appears as a pale girl with black hair and black eyes. She can also return to a silver-haired, purple-eyed form associated with her Silver Dragon King identity. 168 188

Gu Yue is proud, confrontational, and highly protective of Tang Wulin. She openly distrusts Long Zijin, warns her to stay away from Tang Wulin, and repeatedly risks exposing her hidden strength to defend him. 55 113 116

She is also calculating when necessary. During the Skysea Alliance Tournament, she deliberately staged a rescue in pursuit of her wager with Na'er: making Tang Wulin fall in love with her first. 117 Later, when outmatched by Long Zijin, she bargains with her half of the Amethyst Pupils to secure Yuanen Yehui's survival and escape. 211
