"A Death Knight, Warchief. Do you need me to tell the others why he looks so much like a human?"
Teron Gorefiend replied.
"No need."
Orgrim Doomhammer glanced at Malone. Although he was also puzzled by Malone's striking resemblance to a human, that was not the reason he had summoned Teron Gorefiend here.
Teron Gorefiend had once reached a consensus with Orgrim: to keep the origin of the Death Knights hidden from the other orcs.
"I heard two Death Knights were causing trouble. He is one, so who is the other?"
Orgrim Doomhammer sat on his throne with a commanding air, exuding great authority—mostly because all the other orcs were standing.
"The other orc is me, Warchief."
Teron Gorefiend answered.
"What is going on?"
Orgrim asked.
"I imagine, Warchief, that you have already learned the sequence of events—the version others have told you."
Teron Gorefiend did not answer Orgrim's question directly.
"Why don't you tell me what you know first, and then I will tell you which parts are wrong. How does that sound?"
Teron Gorefiend was actually questioning Orgrim in return.
Orgrim frowned—he realized that the Teron Gorefiend before him was somewhat different.
The previous Teron Gorefiend had been so low-key that Orgrim almost ignored his existence—unless there was a mission or new Death Knights to be handed over.
Yet now, Teron Gorefiend was engaging him with such sharp, pointed rhetoric.
"One of my clansmen, Talrama, told me that you, Teron Gorefiend, and one of your companions snatched a prisoner of war that belonged to him. Now, Teron Gorefiend, do you have anything to say in your defense?"
Orgrim suppressed the irritation of being offended and asked with a calm expression.
"Talrama?"
Teron Gorefiend did not recall ever hearing that name.
Orgrim waved his hand, and an orc stepped out from the crowd. His mouth and nose were still stained with blood, and his gait was unsteady.
"That is the orc I knocked down."
Malone leaned toward Teron Gorefiend and whispered.
"That is not important."
Teron Gorefiend replied to Malone in a low voice.
Then, the leader of the Death Knights spoke loudly to Orgrim: "I do not recall ever meeting him. I did indeed take a human woman from a group of orcs, but my opponent at the time was a Blademaster."
"You would do well to remember my name, Death Knight."
A familiar voice drifted over. Malone looked toward the source to see Kaldara standing out from the crowd with his arms crossed over his chest, still carrying his strangely shaped weapon on his back.
"Yes, that is him, the Blademaster of the Burning Blade Clan."
Teron Gorefiend nodded.
"Furthermore, Orgrim, please do not ignore what I said earlier. That human woman was not just Talrama's prisoner; she was a captive of our entire squad."
Kaldara looked at Orgrim, his words devoid of any respect for the Warchief of the orcs.
What exactly is this guy's stance? Malone watched Kaldara, unable to fathom what the orc Blademaster was thinking.
Is it really worth bringing this matter before Orgrim just for a Tiffany? How ** stupid are these orcs!
On the other hand, why does it feel like Kaldara is completely dismissive of Orgrim's interrogation? Could it be that he didn't even come here of his own volition?
"What is the meaning of this?"
Orgrim asked.
"It means that although Talrama is a member of my squad, we captured two human women in total, and he has already killed one. I believe he has no right to claim authority over the remaining prisoner."
Kaldara spoke these words with gravity, though Malone felt they were complete nonsense.
"Why didn't you tell me this before?"
Orgrim seemed to take Kaldara's words seriously, his tone laced with annoyance.
"With all due respect, Orgrim, you asked me earlier if the Death Knights had snatched a human prisoner from our squad, and I said yes; at that time, I did not know that was what you were thinking... and you did not ask me, did you?"
A faint smile touched the corner of Kaldara's mouth—though in Malone's eyes, the smile was dripping with mockery.
"Go on."
Orgrim said to Kaldara calmly, yet the sharp-eyed Malone could see the robust muscles beneath the Warchief's black plate armor trembling slightly.
This guy is angry, Malone thought.
"Go on? What else is there to say? You always trust your Blackrock Orcs, Orgrim. As for what the rest of us from other clans have to say, do you even care?"
Kaldara bluntly expressed his dissatisfaction with Orgrim.
"Are you challenging my authority, Kaldara!"
Orgrim stood up abruptly, one hand already reaching for the handle of the warhammer on his back.
"Think whatever you want."
Kaldara also reached for his sword hilt, his eyes burning with fierce battle intent—a Blademaster of the Burning Blade Clan never feared anyone's challenge, nor did they fear challenging anyone.
Malone secretly clicked his tongue behind Teron Gorefiend—what was going on?
Although Malone knew that there were some rifts between the various human kingdoms within the Alliance, he hadn't expected that the Horde's internal affairs were also not very peaceful.
—Kaldara actually dared to challenge Orgrim's authority in full view of everyone? That was the renowned "Doomhammer"!
However, Malone felt a bit of anticipation—he knew Kaldara was strong, and Orgrim was also strong. If these two fought, it would surely be a great spectacle.
The other Orcs—whether chieftains or lieutenants—remained silent.
Orcs would not stop others from challenging the Great Chieftain—just as they had acted before.
When Orgrim killed Blackhand the Destroyer, no one had said anything, had they?
"Explain what happened."
To Malone's surprise, Orgrim was the first to release his weapon.
Seeing Orgrim release his weapon, Kaldara also let go of his sword hilt; however, Malone seemed to catch a hint of disappointment in his expression—was it an illusion?
"We captured a human prisoner, then this Death Knight came, and then Teron Gorefiend came. We fought, but I lost, so I gave the human prisoner to them."
Kaldara said casually.
"You lost?"
Orgrim Doomhammer remained standing, but a look of astonishment appeared on his face.
Orgrim knew how strong a Blademaster of the Burning Blade was—he hadn't expected Teron Gorefiend to be able to defeat a Blademaster.
"No, Kaldara, you didn't fight this guy at all! How can you say you lost?"
Talrama shouted from the side.
