Xuanye and his allies fought Otsutsuki Urashiki, whom Raiden Ei ultimately killed, and Xuanye secured the Shikkotsu Forest Summoning Scroll. The arc left Sasuke moved by the Uchiha family’s kindness, Tsunade and Xuanye facing their new relationship, and Orochimaru examining Urashiki’s sealed remains.

• Urashiki attacked Konoha’s defenders, but Xuanye, Hashirama, Hikari, Fugaku, Orochimaru, and Sasuke combined their abilities to wound and trap him.
• Xuanye drew Urashiki into the Plane of Euthymia, where Raiden Ei appeared and killed him with the Thoughtless Blade.
• Xuanye received a Divine Tree Seed, removed Urashiki’s Rinnegan, and told Raiden Ei that it could help restore Raiden Makoto.
• Xuanye returned to the battlefield and concealed Urashiki’s defeat, then brought Hashirama into Konoha and persuaded Tsunade to let him sign Shikkotsu Forest’s Summoning Scroll.
• Sasuke visited the Uchiha compound, where Mikoto welcomed him and her home-cooked meal brought back memories of his family.
• Xuanye and Tsunade spent the night together, then agreed to take a few days before discussing their relationship, while Hashirama teased them about marriage.

Xuanye mastered Senjutsu, manipulated Kabuto into gaining power, and seized control of the Land of Fire as Uchiha Genya. As other nations and the Daimyos reacted to his rule, he sent Kabuto and Hidan into Akatsuki, where Hiruzen challenged Kabuto's loyalty.

• Xuanye revealed the Ōtsutsuki origins of the Uchiha and Senju to Orochimaru, warned him about Karma, and sent Sasuke through time and space with the Flying Shuttle.
• Xuanye left Konoha in Hong Dou and Yugito's care and traveled to Shikkotsu Forest, where the Great Slug Sage helped him master Senjutsu.
• After Nonō's apparent death, Xuanye used an illusion to drive Kabuto toward vengeance, and Kabuto traveled to Ryūchi Cave to master Senjutsu.
• Xuanye learned Senjutsu while Kabuto survived the White Snake Sage's trial, and the Daimyo's secret edict pushed Xuanye to move his plans forward.
• Xuanye took control of the Daimyo Mansion, accepted the throne, abolished the Daimyo and Hokage offices, and became Thunderfire Great General.
• The other Daimyos placed enormous bounties on Xuanye and his allies, but the Kage refused to wage war on Konoha.
• Xuanye confronted Kabuto in Ryūchi Cave, tested his new Senjutsu, and took him back to Konoha after trapping him in an illusion.
• Xuanye revealed that Nonō's death had been faked to motivate Kabuto, then sent Kabuto and Hidan to join Akatsuki, where Hiruzen accused Kabuto of being a Konoha spy.

Xuanye brought Minato back through Impure World Reincarnation, reclaimed the Nine-Tails chakra, and sent Kabuto to help the Akatsuki capture Gaara. The Akatsuki secured the One-Tail and began planning attacks on Konoha, while Obito warned them about Uchiha Genya.

• Pain chose to trust Kabuto, and the Akatsuki accepted a two-billion-ryo contract to capture Uchiha Genya while deciding to target the One-Tail first.
• Xuanye rejected Orochimaru’s proposal to seize the Rinnegan and instead tasked him with freeing Minato and the Nine-Tails chakra from the Death God.
• Raiden Ei trained Xuanye in the Plane of Euthymia, while Hong Dou moved into the Castle Keep as one of his wives.
• Orochimaru released Minato’s soul and reincarnated him in a White Zetsu body, and Xuanye bound the Death God to his Rinnegan.
• Xuanye recovered the Nine-Tails chakra, sent Kurama to Raiden Ei, and told Minato that Naruto was safe before Minato returned to Konoha and learned how the village had changed.
• Minato learned that Obito had been the masked attacker and agreed to help Xuanye in exchange for the promise that he and Kushina could be revived.
• Kabuto and Hidan attacked Sunagakure, where Hidan fought Rasa and Chiyo while Kabuto subdued Gaara and sealed Shukaku.
• Kabuto escaped with Gaara, and Pain announced that the Akatsuki would target the Two-Tails, Three-Tails, and Nine-Tails as Obito warned the group about Uchiha Genya.

The Akatsuki launched an invasion of Konoha, where the village’s defenders captured several attackers and fought the intruders’ strongest members. As Nagato unleashed the Six Paths of Pain, Uchiha Hikari awakened a towering Complete Body Susanoo against his summoned beasts.

• Obito revealed Genya’s overwhelming abilities, and the Akatsuki planned the Konoha Crush while Orochimaru prepared the village’s defenses.
• Hikari and Guy confronted Deidara and Biwa Juzo, while Kakashi and Itachi engaged Sasori and Kisame in separate battles.
• Orochimaru faced Sarutobi Hiruzen and summoned Tobirama, who attacked his former student after learning Hiruzen had brought rogue ninjas into Konoha.
• Orochimaru captured Hiruko, while Hikari’s Eternal Mangekyō let her control and incapacitate Deidara and Biwa Juzo.
• Itachi and Kakashi defeated Kisame and Sasori, but Obito intervened at Hiruzen’s battlefield and pulled Hiruzen into the Kamui Dimension.
• Nagato rejected Konan’s plea to retreat and sent the Six Paths of Pain to attack Konoha with enormous summoned beasts.
• Hikari’s Yachihoko failed against Pain’s Rinnegan-linked beasts, so she formed a gigantic Complete Body Susanoo that crushed buildings and tore apart a Chameleon.
