Guy defeated Pain’s Six Paths, while Xuanye captured Nagato and Konan and consolidated control over Konoha. As Obito moved to revive Madara, Xuanye prepared a covert war that would weaken the other villages while Konoha stayed out of the fighting.

• Guy opened the Eighth Gate and destroyed the Six Paths of Pain, but revealed that Izanagi had saved him from death.
• Xuanye confronted Nagato and Konan, neutralized Konan’s Explosive Tags, and had Kabuto betray them and take Nagato’s Rinnegan.
• Xuanye brought Nagato and Konan to Konoha, seized the Demonic Statue for Orochimaru to study, and presented Tobirama as a former Hokage whose students had harmed the village.
• Tobirama tried to reclaim authority in Konoha, but Genya challenged his record and Orochimaru sealed him inside a coffin.
• Genya ordered Orochimaru to prepare Nawaki’s resurrection and expand the Astartes enhancements, while Obito and Black Zetsu summoned Madara’s remains and sought a way to revive him.
• Genya appointed Kabuto and Hidan to Konoha posts, planned Fugaku’s replacement in the Security Division, and promised to help restore Itachi’s Mangekyō and treat his Bloodline Disease.
• Genya sent Kabuto back undercover with a Rinnegan and reanimated fighters, ordering him to help Obito and Hiruzen start a war that would exhaust the other villages while Konoha stayed out of it.

Genya consolidated Konoha’s power by dealing with the Akatsuki prisoners and bringing Gaara and Shukaku under his control, while Kabuto joined Obito and Hiruzen to prepare a war against Konoha. The arc left the Four Great Nations mobilizing against Obito’s forces and considering a later alliance against Konoha.

• Karin told Genya that academy students bullied her and her friends, prompting him to resolve to stop the harassment.
• Hizashi urged Hiashi to change the Hyuga Clan, and the brothers reconciled as Hiashi agreed to offer Branch Family members greater access to training.
• Jiraiya asked Xuanye to spare Nagato and Konan, and Xuanye arranged for Konan to work at Konoha’s Explosive Tag Printing Factory in exchange for prolonging Nagato’s life.
• Xuanye forced Sasori into his Rinnegan and ordered Deidara to reveal Iwagakure’s Explosion Release methods and join Konoha’s Anbu.
• Xuanye brought Gaara to Konoha, controlled Shukaku, and arranged for Gaara to attend the Ninja Academy, while Gaara and Shukaku chose to stay.
• Kabuto joined Obito and Sarutobi Hiruzen, offering powerful Reanimated Shinobi and agreeing with Obito to begin the Fourth Shinobi World War.
• Hiruzen and Danzo agreed to oppose Konoha after Hiruzen explained how Genya’s rise had ruined their former power, while Black Zetsu suspected Genya had framed Danzo.
• Obito seized the Land of Rivers with White Zetsu and reanimated fighters, declared war on the Four Great Nations, and prompted the villages to mobilize against him.

Orochimaru proved he could resurrect the dead, while the Allied Shinobi Forces faced Uchiha Madara and then suffered a major defeat. Xuanye used the chaos to expand Konoha’s influence and sent Kakashi with him to the Land of Demons to retrieve Miroku.

• Uchiha Genya punished the parents of the students who bullied Sasuke, Naruto, Hinata, and Karin, then Konoha tightened school rules and increased students’ workloads.
• Orochimaru revived Nawaki with the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique, and Uchiha Genya set a steep price for future resurrections.
• Obito and Kabuto summoned Uchiha Madara, who confronted the Allied Shinobi Forces and overwhelmed the Five Kage with Susanoo, Rinnegan, and Wood Release.
• Kabuto’s forces crushed the Allied Shinobi Forces, while Xuanye promised Konan he would resurrect Yahiko if she had a child for him.
• Xuanye ordered reanimated Konoha shinobi to kill leaders in small nations and prepare those territories for Konoha’s expansion.
• Tobirama challenged Xuanye over his ambitions and his handling of Danzō and Hiruzen, but acknowledged his effectiveness as Hokage and agreed that Hashirama had been better suited to lead.
• Xuanye refused to summon Hashirama to confront Madara and ordered Kakashi to accompany him to the Land of Demons to bring Miroku back to Konoha.

Uchiha Genya defeated Uchiha Madara and was caught in a devastating attack from the moon, only to survive and turn his fury on the Otsutsuki descendants. He reached the moon and cleaved through the Giant Tenseigan’s attack, the lunar palace, and the moon itself.

• Uchiha Genya captured Moryo, brought Miroku and her daughter into Konoha, and then left to confront Uchiha Madara while the other villages plotted against him.
• Uchiha Genya overwhelmed Uchiha Madara in battle, destroying his Susanoo and Wood Release constructs before a tremendous lightning strike demolished Madara’s Reanimated Body.
• Uchiha Genya seized Madara’s soul and completed the quest that granted him perfect Yin-Yang Release, but a golden beam from the moon struck the battlefield and left the allied forces believing both men had died.
• Uchiha Hikari’s grief awakened a stronger Mangekyō, and she marked the moon with Yachihoko before an Otsutsuki attack prompted an unfamiliar voice to intervene.
• Otsutsuki Hagoromo fired the Giant Tenseigan’s Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion at the battlefield, but Uchiha Genya reappeared and cut the beam in two with Musō Isshin.
• Uchiha Genya sent Uchiha Hikari, Kakashi, and Might Guy back to Konoha, then flew toward the moon and vowed to punish its Otsutsuki inhabitants.
• Uchiha Genya passed through the Giant Tenseigan’s attack using Life and Death Reversal, while Rō poured his life force into the weapon to protect Toneri.
• Uchiha Genya met the Giant Tenseigan’s Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion with a Thoughtless Blade slash, cleaving the beam and lunar palace and carving a massive wound into the moon.
