"Where are we going?" Wang Yang asked from the passenger seat, catching the faint, pleasant scent wafting from Bulma.
"How did you even end up following me?" Bulma asked, looking surprised.
"What? What was that? You took all my treasures, and you're asking me why I followed you?" Wang Yang glared, wondering if this woman was doing it on purpose.
"Ha! Ha! No way! How could I possibly have forgotten?" Bulma waved her hands and let out a dry laugh.
She stepped on the gas, the vehicle roared to life, and the surrounding environment began to blur as they sped away.
Outside the windows, high-tech bridges and skyscrapers were visible everywhere, and small aircraft occasionally streaked across the sky.
Wang Yang watched it all with great interest.
He wondered how many years ahead of his previous world this technology was.
Before long, the car pulled up in front of a building that looked like an inverted hemisphere, the open ground around the house filled with blooming flowers.
"Get out, this is my home," Bulma said to Wang Yang after stepping out of the car.
The two walked side by side, passing a flower bed where a beautiful woman with yellow hair was singing while watering the plants.
"Bulma, you're back. Is this your new boyfriend?" Bulma's mother set down her watering can and smiled.
She walked over to Wang Yang and, without a hint of hesitation, grabbed his arm.
"Bulma's boyfriend, what is your name?" Mrs. Briefs asked, beaming at Wang Yang.
"Nice to meet you, ma'am. My name is Wang Yang." Mrs. Briefs was so enthusiastic that Wang Yang felt a bit awkward, trying to pull his arm back.
"Mom!" Bulma covered her face with her hand, offering a helpless smile at her mother's behavior.
"Wang Yang, when did you two get together? Have you held hands? Have you kissed? Have you been on a date?" Mrs. Briefs fired off questions one after another.
"We just got together," Wang Yang said with a grin.
"Hey! I haven't even agreed to that yet!" Bulma shouted at Wang Yang.
"Shall we go on a date together?" Mrs. Briefs seemed not to have heard Bulma, continuing to smile at Wang Yang.
"That won't do, I have to go on a date with Bulma!" Wang Yang laughed dryly.
"Hmph!" Bulma snorted.
The next day, the weather took a turn for the worse, and a steady, drizzling rain began to fall.
Wang Yang left with Bulma in her small aircraft.
"Bulma, if we fly in this rain, will we fall out of the sky if we get struck by lightning?" Wang Yang asked from the co-pilot seat, watching Bulma as she focused intently on flying.
"My flying skills are world-class. How could I possibly get struck by lightning?" Bulma shot him a sharp look.
Despite her words, she didn't dare to be careless; if they were struck at such a high altitude, falling would be fatal.
"Don't be nervous. Even if the plane explodes, I can keep you safe and sound," Wang Yang said, patting his chest.
"Braggart!"
The Martial Arts Tournament was held on a small island. Bulma parked the plane in an open area, stored it away in a capsule, and stood by the road waiting for a taxi.
"Bulma, don't forget that after the tournament ends, you have to build me a gravity chamber," Wang Yang reminded her while holding an umbrella over her head. He had spent all of last night showering her with compliments just to get her to agree to his request.
"Don't worry, how could I forget?"
They finally caught a taxi and headed straight for the tournament grounds.
At the entrance to the tournament, Master Roshi and Launch had been waiting for a long time. As soon as Master Roshi saw Bulma's perfect figure, he nearly had a nosebleed, completely ignoring Wang Yang standing beside her.
"Long time no see!" Bulma ignored the pervert and smiled at Launch.
Just then, while Bulma wasn't paying attention, an evil claw reached out from behind her.
Smack!
Wang Yang was quick; just as the hand was about to touch Bulma's shapely backside, he swatted it away.
"You perverted old man, keep your hands to yourself, or I'll chop them off!"
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" Master Roshi clutched his rapidly swelling hand and cried out.
Thwack!
"You old geezer!"
Bulma turned around, immediately realizing what had happened, and swung her fist, landing a bump right on Master Roshi's head.
"By the way, Bulma, have you changed boyfriends?" Master Roshi took off his sunglasses and looked Wang Yang up and down.
He felt an indescribable aura radiating from the man in front of him; he looked ordinary, yet he felt anything but simple.
"No, this is my friend," Bulma huffed.
Master Roshi's eyes darted between the two of them with suspicion.
"We aren't quite there yet, but Bulma said if I win the tournament championship, she'll agree to it," Wang Yang laughed.
"Haha! The championship won't be easy. Master Yamcha could beat you!" Puar shouted while hovering in the air.
Wang Yang smiled slightly, ignoring the little cat, and walked toward the tournament registration desk.
"My name is Wang Yang, sign me up," Wang Yang said to the staff member.
"Understood!"
Just then, a small balloon got stuck on a tree branch, and a little girl stood beneath it, crying sadly.
"Don't cry, it's alright, big sister will get it down for you." Bulma patted the little girl's head and reached out toward the balloon.
Unfortunately, Bulma wasn't tall enough, and even on her tiptoes, she couldn't reach it.
"Wang Yang, help me get that." Bulma turned her head and called out to Wang Yang, who was standing nearby.
Just as Wang Yang was about to walk over, he saw someone else had already snatched the balloon down from the tree.
Through introductions, everyone learned that he was Son Goku.
Kakarot! Wang Yang stared at the man with crab-like hair and a somewhat lean build. His mind drifted back to the days in the nursery, remembering the infant who wouldn't stop crying.
Puar had been keeping a close eye on Wang Yang, the man who seemed to have designs on Bulma, circling him incessantly. When he noticed the tail wrapped around Wang Yang's waist, he rubbed his eyes to get a better look and suddenly shrieked in surprise.
"A tail, he has a tail!"
"What?" Everyone was startled. Wang Yang actually had a tail?
"How do you have a tail? Are you the same as Goku?" Bulma looked at the tail at Wang Yang's waist, astonished.
"It's true, he has a tail just like me!" Goku curiously examined Wang Yang.
"Goku, where is your tail?" Master Roshi asked Goku.
"Kami took my tail away. He said my tail would become a weakness and a hindrance, and that it would affect my fighting." Goku rubbed his chin, recalling Kami's words.
"I do indeed have a tail; it is unique to our Saiyan race." Wang Yang unwrapped his tail and flicked it through the air a few times, producing several sharp whistling sounds.
"Saiyan?"
Everyone was completely bewildered.
"Hello, Kakarot!" Wang Yang paced over to stand in front of Goku.
"Are you calling me? But my name is Son Goku, not Kakarot." Goku pointed at himself, looking puzzled.
