Son Gohan vs. Kale, the Legendary Super Saiyan

Universe 7's next fighter was still Son Gohan. Whis had already healed his injuries with his staff.

At that moment, the referee returned to the center of the arena and announced loudly, "The fighters' break is over. All remaining competitors, please take the stage."

With everyone cheering him on, Gohan returned to the arena and began his second battle.

As he flew onto the stage, Son Gohan also looked toward Universe 6's stands. To his surprise, the female Saiyan flying down to face him was Kale.

He remembered Ye Ming's warning: "Kale only fully mastered her Legendary Super Saiyan form after training with a god. Otherwise, in that kind of berserk state, she wouldn't be able to tell friend from foe."

"The Legendary Super Saiyan grows stronger throughout the battle. As you grow stronger, she'll grow stronger too. The Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline is truly terrifying, but it isn't invincible. You can counterattack when you spot openings in her attacks. Don't try to meet her head-on."

Turning back, Son Gohan regarded Kale, the Legendary Super Saiyan, with a grave expression. Her strength was surely on a completely different level from Caulifla's.

By then, the two fighters had landed on the stage. Gohan noticed that Kale was staring at him with what seemed to be an angry expression.

Kale said to Son Gohan, "You hurt my sister. You're going to pay for it."

Gohan was speechless. Was he supposed to just stand there and let her hit him?

He replied seriously, "I'm sorry I hit her so hard, but we're both fighting for our respective universes. It's only natural that we get hurt during the battle."

But Kale wouldn't listen. Her sister was all she cared about. "Come on! I'll teach you a lesson and avenge my sister."

As she spoke, Kale and Son Gohan put some distance between them and immediately assumed their fighting stances.

Suddenly, the arena began to tremble. No—the entire Nameless Planet was shaking.

Kale's gaze grew fiercer, and her hair gradually turned green. This was indeed the Legendary Super Saiyan, a warrior who appeared only once every thousand years.

Kale's energy kept rising, spreading even to the planets around them. With a roar, immense power erupted from her body, and a brilliant column of energy shot into the sky.

Gohan stared at Kale's transformed body. Her muscles had bulged, her eyes had turned white, and green energy surged around her, with lightning crackling in its wake.

In Universe 7's stands, Son Goku and Vegeta stared in shock. Seeing how powerful Kale was, they couldn't help worrying deeply for Gohan. Her energy was simply overwhelming—she could even trade blows with Beerus and Ye Ming.

Beerus dropped his carefree demeanor and narrowed his eyes at Kale. "So this is the Legendary Super Saiyan. She's certainly impressive! I can feel her power growing constantly, with no apparent limit."

Whis stroked his chin. "This Legendary Super Saiyan form is truly powerful. She should have lost control, yet Kale is handling it perfectly. My sister must have trained her."

Ye Ming nodded. He already knew how terrifying the Legendary Super Saiyan could be. In terms of bloodline, potential, and the sheer boost in power from transforming, the form far surpassed that of an ordinary Super Saiyan.

Ye Ming asked the system, "System, can I obtain the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline?"

The system answered, "In theory, you can, host. During future battles, I'll issue a series of missions, and one of them will involve the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline. But that's for later."

Hearing the system's answer, Ye Ming smiled happily. If there was a chance to obtain it, all he needed was time! Besides, this body had plenty of potential.

After all, when Ye Ming had watched Dragon Ball in his original world, he had also wished he could have the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline. It was simply too powerful!

Back at the arena, Son Gohan stared in shock at Kale, who had completed her transformation. He hadn't expected her power to be so terrifying.

Gohan flashed behind Kale and kicked her in the head. But Kale merely turned her head toward him, as if nothing had happened, almost as though she were taunting him.

Son Gohan's pupils contracted. He had put all his strength into that kick, yet he hadn't even managed to move her.

He suddenly tried to put some distance between himself and Kale, but she wasn't about to let him. She instantly grabbed his leg and slammed him into the arena, then hurled an energy blast at him. Dust billowed across the stage.

After taking that hit, Son Gohan quickly backed away from Kale. Clutching his chest, he said with a pained expression, "That hit was really heavy!"

Gohan regarded the steady, imposing Kale with a grave expression as he tried to think of a way to defeat her.

But no matter how hard he thought, he couldn't find any weakness. From head to toe, Kale seemed to possess endless strength. He couldn't budge her.

Suddenly, Son Gohan flew into the air, planning to use the advantage of height to fire a Kamehameha at Kale.

Kale immediately realized what he was planning and shot into the sky after him. She moved so fast that Son Gohan couldn't react in time.

She grabbed Gohan by the head and slammed him down onto the arena. With a loud crash, dust billowed as he hit the stage hard. Kale followed up by pounding him with one fist after another.

In Universe 6's stands, Champa was so excited he could barely contain himself. Waving his fists, he shouted, "That's it, Kale! Beat Son Gohan!"

Caulifla watched her younger sister on the stage, filled with pride. The little sister who used to cry and fuss had become a powerful Saiyan warrior.

Son Gohan cried out in pain. Kale's heavy punches struck his body, each one making him suffer terribly.

In Universe 7's stands, Beerus shouted anxiously, "Gohan, show her your true strength! Stop holding back!"

Hearing this, Son Gohan knew this wasn't an opponent he could afford to hide his strength against. He broke free from Kale's assault and instantly transformed into a Super Saiyan Blue Evolved. A powerful aura burst from his body.

Yet Son Gohan still watched Kale with a grave expression. A sense of helplessness rose in his heart.

Even in his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form, he still felt that he wasn't Kale's match. He hadn't felt this kind of pressure in many years.

Son Goku, Vegeta, and Ye Ming all looked equally serious. Vegeta said, "The Legendary Super Saiyan is every bit as troublesome as they say. Even though they're confident in their own strength, they can feel the pressure now."

Ye Ming said calmly, "In this form, Kale's speed, defense, and strength have all increased dramatically. Her Legendary Super Saiyan form has already reached the second stage."

Although Kale was incredibly powerful now, Ye Ming was still confident he could defeat her. He had faith in his own strength.

Goku was also thinking about what he would need to do to defeat Kale if he had to face her.

He estimated that stacking Kaioken times thirty on top of his Blue form wasn't his limit. But if he used a higher multiplier, his stamina and body might not be able to withstand it.

At that moment, Vegeta said to Son Goku, "If Son Gohan loses, I'll take his place. I've already gained some control over Hakai Energy. Even if I have to risk serious injury, I'll destroy Kale's limbs. That'll cripple her and keep her from competing."

Hearing how ruthless Vegeta sounded, Son Goku swallowed nervously. Beerus chimed in, "Vegeta, you can cripple her, but don't kill her. That would break the tournament rules."

Whis nodded. "That might work, though it is rather brutal. Still, I'll leave the decision entirely up to Vegeta."

Ye Ming wanted to enter the tournament himself, but then he remembered that the opposing team's fourth fighter still hadn't appeared. He was especially concerned that the unknown fighter might be observing his fighting style and strength from the shadows.

Ye Ming's suspicion was correct. AF Son Goku was secretly watching him and his teammates. But Vados had completely concealed AF Son Goku's energy with a special technique, so Ye Ming couldn't sense him.

AF Son Goku was also carefully sizing Ye Ming up. He realized that Ye Ming's strength was unfathomable and that he was a formidable opponent.

But just then, Ye Ming seemed to sense someone watching him from the shadows. He abruptly turned toward the distant void. There was nothing there, yet he had definitely felt someone's gaze.

Whis, Beerus, and the others noticed Ye Ming's reaction and asked in unison, "Ye Ming, what's wrong?"

Ye Ming said gravely, "Someone's watching me. They're hiding so well that I can't sense their presence, and their strength is immense—possibly equal to mine."

Beerus and Whis were both shocked. Whis stood up and looked toward the void, but he couldn't see anything either. He said to Ye Ming, "That might be Universe 6's fourth competitor. They're watching us from the shadows. If even you think their strength might rival yours, this battle could be extremely dangerous."

Vegeta and Son Goku also tensed up. This tournament might not be as simple as they had imagined.

Ye Ming continued, "Don't panic. Their strength should still be within my ability to handle. Otherwise, I wouldn't have noticed them. I caught a trace of their energy because they were watching me too intently."

Beerus breathed a sigh of relief. Ye Ming's words had given him a much-needed sense of reassurance.

Sure enough, a pair of eyes had been watching them from the distant void Ye Ming had looked toward: AF Son Goku. But the moment Ye Ming turned around, he vanished without a trace of energy, reacting incredibly quickly!

AF Son Goku was now standing behind a field of asteroids. He smiled and said, "Looks like this battle won't be boring. That guy named Ye Ming is really impressive! If I hadn't reacted quickly, he would've spotted me."

He had also seen this timeline's Son Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. Their strength was nowhere near his own, but he was still happy to see his counterparts and their friends.

Back at the arena, Son Gohan was still being beaten down. He had tried everything, but he still couldn't defeat Kale.

Gohan's face was full of unwillingness. His injuries were severe, and if he had completely fused with his Mystic Form before coming here, things might have turned out differently. At the very least, he wouldn't have been beaten so badly.

But he wouldn't give up so easily. Son Gohan sprang to his feet and suddenly gathered his energy, concentrating every last bit of it.

The Nameless Planet and the surrounding planets shook violently as the energy continued to grow.

In Universe 6's stands, Champa watched Son Gohan gather so much energy and grew a little worried for Kale. He glanced at Vados.

Vados remained perfectly calm and gave Champa a reassuring look. Champa grinned.

After gathering his energy, Son Gohan suddenly unleashed all of it at Kale. With a roar, he poured out every last bit of his power.

Kale took the full brunt of the attack. Even Beerus couldn't help cheering from the stands. Vegeta and Son Goku's eyes lit up; they thought victory might be within reach.

Once the dust cleared, it was obvious the attack had hurt Kale badly. Her energy burst outward, and the green aura around her grew denser. It seemed that the more intense her pain became, the stronger she got!

Seeing this, Son Gohan knew he had lost. Kale's aura finished rising, and she punched Son Gohan in the face. He had no strength left and was quickly knocked off the stage.

The referee appeared. "Congratulations to Universe 6's Kale on winning the second battle. Let's take a break before the third battle."

Goku and Vegeta carried Son Gohan back to the stands. He opened his eyes groggily and said, "Sorry, I lost. It's a little disappointing."

Beerus smiled. "You already won us one match, so you did more than enough. You really couldn't beat that Kale. Leave her to Vegeta and Son Goku."

Whis immediately treated Son Gohan. When he was done, Gohan stood up, still feeling pain throughout his body. It seemed he had overexerted himself.

In Universe 6's stands, Champa was gloating at Beerus now that his team had evened the score.

Ye Ming comforted Son Gohan, and his resolve grew stronger. He would win in the end, no matter who stood in his way!
